Do any of you call a few days before check in to request a certain floor or room number for beach Club Villas? I have a few priorities in mind that I would like to communicate. Would the best time to do that be a few days before or wait until I am actually checking in?

Requests should be on your reservation. The resort doesn't want calls or faxes about room requests. Phone calls to the resorts are answered by a call center in Tampa.

DVC members are supposed to put all their requests on their reservation. If you haven't done that already, call MS and have them added.

DD10 and I are staying at BCV for the first time in June. The only request I will have is that I don't want a first floor room (security, etc.). Should I word my request that I don't want a first floor room, or should I request a high floor?

TIA

Tell them what you want. If anything but the first floor is acceptable, then request, "no first floor requested". If you want a upper floor then request, "high floor requested".

Check in early!!...we always check into BCV at 7am...always get what we want..first floor close to lobby!

I would think sooner the better, but maybe closer to check in is better.

For us after many stays, many reserved at 11 months day by day, we have concluded its useless at BCV and VWL (we avoid AKV/SSR/OKW) to request anything. We checked in once at 6AM to find only 2 dedicated 2BR's were being vacated the entire day. We chose the "canal view" which was fine-kind of pool view as well. Other times with pool view requests-we have been in upper level EPCOT views which where great. We pretty much accept the BW View (and soon BLT MK View) are on our "preffered view" list-the rest are all just good.
