BCV Balconies?

I've heard that some of the BC rooms have "standing" balconies - no room for sitting. Is this also true of BCV?

We have a 2 BR Villa booked for October, we're traveling with DM and DD(5). DH and I look forward to evenings on the balcony with a glass(es) of wine after DM and DD are asleep. View isn't critical, although a nice one would be... well... Nice. ;)

Should I put in a request for "full balcony"? Anything else you would recommend?

I think all of BCV has full balconies, but they come in many different sizes. I requested a larger balcony for our studio in May and our balcony was HUGE!! It was studio 560 overlooking the quiet pool. If a balcony is important, then I would definitely request it. We had such a blast hanging out on the balcony after the kids were asleep having a couple drinks! It definitely made our trip that much better!

The standing room balconies are only in the hotel section. The Villas all have room to sit although some are not all that big. They will have chairs and a small table though.

The largest balcony at BCV is HA studio 228

Good to know!
Sometimes the balconies are important to us and other trips not so much. Is there a list somewhere of studio balcony sizes for all the DVC resorts? (I know, I know, weird request) LOL

:)We stayed in a 2br in May (BCVs). It was Rm 202 and the balcony ran the entire length of the villa. We also had a view of the canal and the quiet pool. Great room! I requested a non-HA room with a large balcony not too far from an elevator. All requests were granted and I was delighted because I know requests are just that and not guaranteed. Another thing about this location, we went out our door, turned right and the stairs were right there and they took us out to the bus stop.

Had this room last August. A great balcony! I agree about 228 also, but that is a HA room, so you have to decide if that is something you will accept. Super close to the elevator. The balcony is very important to us too!

We have a 2 bd reserved at bcv in nov. I am soooo excited. What does HA stand for though?

Thank you so much for the replies!

I think we'll put in the same request as Checkers.

We are so excited!

One more question...

Is there any benefit to requesting a dedicated 2 BR vs a lockoff?

A dedicated 2BR would have 2 Double beds in the 2nd bedroom as opposed to a double bed and a pullout couch like the studio.
