I have a 2 Bedroom Villa at the Beach Club that I booked for a "guest" on this Board who said he was ready to complete the reservation. I don't usually go ahead an make the reservation with out a deposit but since the dates were in short supply, I went ahead and borrowed the points and made the reservation. Well guess what.......never heard for that person again. So, two things...

1. I have a reservation for 5 nights at the Beach Club in two bedroom Villa beginning on January 26, 2003 and

2. Don't make definite arrangements for responders to your posts unless you have a deposit in the bank ESPECIALLY if you have to borrow points. I have to laugh at all of the concerned renters posting on this board afraid of being screwed by a member when in fact it is the renter who will screw the member at the drop of a hat and think nothing of it.

You got that right, the owner has a bigger chance of getting taken than the renter, but if the renter was cheated you would certainly hear about it. Name and all being plastered all over. Maybe you should post the screen name of the renter who screwed you. I do have to say, you know it's less 10% that I have had a problem with and the problem occurs here and on eBay. both.
