BCV - August use year?

I'm looking into buying into DVC via resale, and had thought that an August use year would work best for us. However whiel I've seen resales for other resorts with an August UY, I haven't seen any listings for Beach Club Villas with an August UY.

Did they sell BCV units with an August use year? Or are units with that UY at BCV in such high demand that people don't list them for resale?

Yes, there is an August UY. The Use Year months are: Feb, Mar, Apr, Jun, Aug, Sep, Oct and Dec.

BCV contracts are typically in high demand, particularly the smaller contracts.

I'm just surprised that I haven't seen any BCV resales with an August UY be listed, since I started looking in the past few months. I'm now re-evaluating if another UY would be worth looking into rather than wait for an August UY which may not show up.

Do not overestimate the importance of a particular UY. It only comes into play in certain instances when you cancel a reservation.

I have a August use year at BCV. I should be selling one soon too. Just haven't decided when (got a vacation coming up).

I sold my BCV with an August use year last Oct. through the Timeshare store. I listed it late Thurs. afternoon and sold it first thing Fri. morning.

I'm sure they're out there, just in such demand that you probably wont see them much! Good luck and get on the Timeshare store's email/contact list! You can let them know what you're looking for and they can contact you when a match comes around for resale!
