BCV at 7 month window

We have ressies for next April into May at our home resort VWL. Does anyone have experience with changing ressies at the 7 month point.
We want to try the BCV's.

I made a ressie back in March for this Oct/Nov at VWL. We are planning to go to the Food and Wine Festival. I had no problem changing it to BCV in April at the 7 month mark. The only time I had a problem switching at 7 months was when I tried to get BWV over July 4th. You should be fine.

We got August ressies this year at the 7 month window no problem. It was for a studio, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I had no trouble getting a 1 bdrm for BCV last year at the 7 month window. In fact I've never had trouble getting a reservation at the 7 month window, we have always gotten the resort and room size we wanted with no wait list.

Got to love that DVC !!

I had to go on the waitlist to get my DD a BCV studio for August - but it came through about 2 weeks prior.
Right now I'm on a waitlist for a BCV 1BR for President's week - we have BWV, but we're hoping the waitlist comes through for us again!!
I only have 75 BCV points, and the plan was to bank and borrow to give us enough points.........but you know how that goes!

Thanks for the input. Sounds like we should have no trouble changing ressies.
I should have mentioned that we need a 2 bedroom. However, I think that studios go first.

We are planning a big family trip to BCV the last week of March 2004. I called today at the seven month window as we still needed to switch a two bedroom and a studio from VWL to BCV. I had been worrying about this for months but I got through right at 9 am and had no problem changing the reservations to BCV.

I've asked this on another thread but wanted to get more opinions. Do you think I will be able to get a 2BR (at either BCV or BWV) at the 7 month window WITHOUT calling each day for openings? I don't have time to do that.

We stayed the last week in March this year and I had no problem calling 7 months ahead to make our ressie. In fact I believe I used the e-mail option to MS. No Problems.

We are also on the waitlist for President's week at BCV. I might have to make do at BWV - such sacrifices!

I did not call day by day. I called today for March 28 - April 2nd. I did make sure to call as soon as MS opened today but that was all. Unless you are going at a really busy time I would think it would work.

We waitlisted BCV for a 2 BR in August for the 15th to 23rd at the seven month window and it never came through. I know the popular wisdom is to waitlist day by day, but I'd hate to get a mixed bag of resorts and nights.

We were successful in getting BWV for that period and got a great Boardwalk view to boot.

We are going in March and I was able to switch from a 2brm at BWV to a 2 bdrm at BCV at the 7 month mark with no problems. I did not call day to day. I just waited for our check out date and then called for the whole reservation. I think getting a reservation 7 months out just really depends on when you are going.

Thanks. I'm not sure we're going to switch, but if we do I'll try for the whole week at once. I don't have time to call one day at a time.
