We recently completed a 10-day stay at the parks. We stayed the first 3 nights at AKL, which was okay, but not a rave for us. Then we moved to WLV for 4 nights. This was previously are favorite, but not our home, which is BCV. We had a 2 bedroom dedicated, with 2 queens as requested. We had a great view of Bay Lake and some trees. During a rainstorm, I really believed I was in the great Northwest. The room number was 354. Everything was perfect and no complaints. Then we moved to our home, BCV, for 3 nights. I had booked a 2 Queen dedicated, but when we got there, it was a sleeper/queen combination. I was going to request a change, but my 11 year old, actually thought the sleeper sofa was cool, so we stayed. We overlooked the quiet pool and was very happy with the room. The only thing I noticed that I thought was strange was in WLV, where there was no cereal bowls. My son is the cereal king, so this was noticeable when he was eating his cereal out of a coffee cup. I called and requested bowls and received paper bowls, which they said was what they had. At BCV, we had regular bowls. No big deal, just a little strange. Everything was great, and we really fell in love with BCV this time.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing!!!

Ms. Sparrow aka Allison

Glad to hear that you had a nice trip and that you are a fan of your "home."

Too bad about the lack of bowls at VWL....strange that you got paper bowls! Maybe housekeeping didn't check and assumed you were in a studio?

Also surprised that you didn't get 2Q dedicated at BCV. Everyone has been saying that it is a "booked" category. But good for your son and his flexibility. Our middle son also enjoys the novelty of sofa beds!

Did you happen to take a look at the new BC store?

Glad you had a great trip!

You should have insisted on those bowls - they should have been with the set and they need to know they are missing from that unit.

And I would think if the BCV has with only 25 2Qs to go around, if they have all 25 booked and a 2Q down is down unexpectedly that they would have to place someone into the Q/SS.

If I rememver correctly, aren't the bowls at VWL a large, glass variety?

We don't eat cereal, but I remember the bowls they had were great for our chicken Caesar Salad. I agree, it would be hard for a kiddo to try to hold that bowl while watching TV or whatever.

Yes, we went and stopped by the store quite often-especially to get a paper in the morning. This time, we bought our son a refillable mug, because having that mug refill station has made it so much more convenient. It's a great addition, although I wish they had fresh doughnuts for breakfast.

We were a little surprised by the crowds at the parks, but we've been spoiled because we are used to the first week of December. Now that my son is starting a traditional middle school, we are going to be limited to spring break and summers-Bummer!
