BCV and SAB use question

We are staying at BCV next month for 4 days and then switching to BWV for 3. We just found out friends are checking into BCV the day we check out. I know from past stays you can use SAB the entire day of checkout, but I was curious how that works if we are switching resorts? If we check out of BCV in the morning can we spend the day at SAB regardless of when we check in at BWV? Or should we wait to check in at BWV? Our friends arrive around mid afternoon and we wanted to hang out with them so all our kids could enjoy SAB together, at least into early evening. Thanks!

Prior to magic bands, you'd have your old room key which would still work for resort amenities until midnight on the day you check out. Now that magic bands all link back to your MDE account, this may be an issue. I know some folks have issues when they have a dining plan at both resorts, and are trying to use their remaining credits at the previous resort on the transition day.

You may want to discuss it with the BC front desk.

You are allowed to use SAB until closing on day of checkout, even if you are checking in elsewhere.

SAB issues a daily access band (like the waterproof paper bands other parks use for admission). Even if your magic band 'changes resorts', the front desk at BC can verify your access for the day.

I had this same issue last year (YC to BLT) and it wasn't a problem.

I would go get my SAB wristband before checking in at the BW.

We were there in December and had a split stay. We just went down and got our Wristband in the morning and then it was good for the day.

If your friends are not also staying at BCV or checking into to BCV that day, they cannot be your "guests" at the pool. Everyone must be a BCV. BC! or YC guest to enter SAB.
