From what I have been reading the studios in these resorts will soon sleep 5 people but the one bedrooms will only sleep four?

What sense does that make..... (from a parent with separate sex young adults that would prefer their own beds....)

I agree with Jean. In both VWL and BWV (don't know about BCV) the connecting door between the 1BR and studio is in the living area. There isn't room for the murphy bed along that wall unless they dismantle part of the kitchen. And if they did that they would have a riot on their hands. Given how anxious DVC seems to be to increase the occupancy of the DVC rooms, I'm sure they would have squeezed a murphy bed or sleeper chair into the 1BRs at those resorts if there was any way they could have done it.

I don't have a picture of it but the connecting door between the 1 BR and the studio (to make it a 2 BR) is in the hallway area. We have only stayed in the 1 Br's - when we enter the 1 br, one direction takes us to the locked connector and the other direction takes us to the living area. We actually use that little vestibule area to stack our owners lockers.

As for the area that connects the bedroom to the living area in a 1 br, it is a weird kitty corner angled door. The living area in a BCV 1 br is kind of small comparatively speaking. The bedroom and kitchen are generously sized but the actual living room is small. Maybe the refurb will open it up and make it seem bigger but adding a murphy bed in there would be tough. We have also stayed in a 1 br at VGF and the living room there feels much bigger than at BCV.
