BCV advice

I am wanting to book BCV 2 bedroom for Oct,at my 7 month mark. I have never had a problem booking any other DVC resort but am told this one is hard to get. I am planning on calling when they open but was wondering what time the online booking begins.

For October, you might have a hard time getting a two bedroom anything (dedicated or lockoff) villa at BCV. That's Food & Wine time. We couldn't get a one bedroom there last year for mid-October for a week. And one bedrooms are usually easier to get. We wound up getting BLT instead. Book your home resort now so at least you'll have something if you can't get BCV.

Interestingly, I just was checking for a 1 BR there for our 3 nights in October (like you, I have to wait until the 7 month to book it). A 2 BR (lock off, I THINK) was already unavailable for 1 of the nights. No, I'm not sure why we were given this info-the 1 BR I'd asked for was available all 3 nights.

I went to the member's website and checked the book a resort (I think that's what it's called) in vacation planning. Since it's more than 7 months out, it'll only give me the info at resorts where we own points. What surprised me was that even though we own points at BCV, it's a fairly small amount, so booking a 1 BR at this time would be nearly impossible without lots of borrowing. Unfortunately, I've tried checking at AKV, but since we don't own points there, it won't tell me anything about availability there until 7 months.
