We're staying at BCV for the first time in August. :yay: I booked a 2 bedroom villa and was told the 2nd bedroom will have a queen bed and a sleeper sofa. The CM I spoke said that there were different configurations of 2 br at BCV. What other configurations are available?

Also, is a particular side/floor/area of BCV optimal? What are the views from the 2 bedroom villas?

Thanks! :flower3:

Some 2 BRs have 2 queens in the second bedroom, some have a queen and sofa bed. If you are paying cash through Disney, it is unlikely you will get one with 2 queens, those are normally requested and booked up by DVC members using points.

BCV doesn't really have any great views - woods facing Epcot or on the other side overlooking the villas pool and canal.

Thanks for the info! I booked on points after the 7 month booking window. Maybe the 2 br with the 2 queen beds were booked up already.

Do the 2 br villas have 2 or 3 balconies?

There is no standard AFAIK for 2 BRs. Balconies vary between multiple small ones and long connected ones - it depends on where you are in the resort and which floor. We stayed in a 2 BR with the sofa bed and our room had 2 balconies, one off the living room, one off the master, but I have seen all kinds of other combinations reported.

BCV is our home resort and we've had both the dedicated 2 bedrooms (2 queens) and the lockoffs (1 bed/1 sleeper sofa). I think we've always had the 2 smaller balconies.

IMO, there are no views/locations at BCV worth requesting. We prefer to be on an upper floor so that's usually the request I make. My least favorite view is some of the woods view because the service road noise takes away from the enjoyment of the balcony. And some of the pool views are nice while others give you more parking lot than pool view. I enjoy the courtyard view but I've read others that felt it was too busy/noisy with the foot traffic below.

There are 3 types of 2BR villas:
1. Dedicated 2BR with 2 queen beds in the second BR, only 25 units in the resort.
2. Dedicated 2BR with 1 queen and sleeper sofa in second BR, only 1 entrance.
53 units
3. Lock-off 2BR, consisting of a 1BR unit and a studio unit, you will get a kitchenette in the studio unit and full kitchen in the 1BR unit, and you will have 2 entrances from the hallway.

My favorite view happens to be of the quiet pool, I prefer to watch people rather than trees grow, I also prefer an upper floor and close to one of the 2 elevators.

BCV is our home resort too. We like the ground floor quiet pool view. We always "request" this view and used to get it all of the time. I understood it to be the least requested view. The last two years though it hasn't been available. As you can see on parkinfo2go, there aren't very many 2 BR villas on the first floor facing the pool.

We stayed in a 2 BR and had one long balcony overlooking the courtyard and we loved it! It was fun to people watch and the kids loved the enormous balcony!

I'm hopping into this thread! Thanks to the OP for the thread! So far many of my questions have been answered :)

My family is looking to rent DVC points (in a few months) and our family is a family of 5 (Mom, Dad & Sis + Me & Hubby). The Lock-off 2BR would be PERFECT for our situation ... that way the two married couples could have their own privacy and the teen can get the living room to herself.

But my question is: How common is it to have a 2BR Lock-off? Can you request it and the majority of the time get it? Can you book SPECIFICALLY for the 2BR Lock-off?
Are there more of these than the other two options for 2BRs?

Thanks guys!

We just got back staying in a 2 bedroom that had the 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom. Room 377. We were in the last room, with out a view of anything. Except we had an amazing view of illuminations fireworks in the mirror.
There was one little balcony.

You can check out view here: http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/
If you click on villa # you can see pics from balcony.

Thanks!

Ground floor sounds great! We had a ground floor room at the YC in 2010 and LOVED it.

My nephews would LOVE a huge balcony.

2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom would be so nice! I wish it was available, but I do feel so lucky to get a 2 br dedicated after the 7 month mark.

Do the 2 br villas have 2 or 3 balconies?

If you get on the second floor you'll have one huge balcony. On other floors you may have separate balconies.

BCV Rocks.
On our last stay, we had a 2 BR on the first floor, last one at the end of the hall #178, which is a queen/sleeper sofa room. If you look at the map you can see that it adjoins the parking lot. We LOVED it. So close to walk to/from the buses, my FIL had a car and parked 10 feet from our door, and if go out the front it's about 30 steps to the pool area and a short walk over to the main resort, SAB and Epcot. All the first floor 2 BR's have 3 outdoor sitting areas.

Good news is, while there are very few great rooms locations at BCV, there are even less bad ones.

We just booked a 2BR with 2 Queens yesterday on our 7 month date.:woohoo:

The FAQ Thread in the Resorts Forum and parkinfo2go both have lots of good info. But I'm still confused about the balcony thing.....some 2BRs have one LONG, while others have 2 SMALL, while yet others only have 1 SMALL? Do any have none or "Juliet" balconies like the Beach Club Resort?:confused3

you will have some type of balcony or patio, there are no Juliet balconies at the villas.
