BC/YC Water Slide...

Adult friendly or not really? DH has fears of getting stuck because there's not enough water flowing through to keep him going without getting stuck.

I'm an adult and I've been down it multiple times. I've never heard of anyone getting stuck in the slide. I would say, if someone has claustrophobia issues, it may not be a very comfortable experience.

It's a very fast slide. He won't get stuck. It's quite fun! There is plenty of water rushing down it and an additional waterfall that spills into the slide towards the middle.

My 6YO (at the time) LOVED it. She'll be 8 when we head back later this year and Stormalong Bay was her only request.

Great. I think my DS will be scared to try it bc it is so high up, but will love it once he finally goes down. I’m not sure he’s ever ridden an enclosed slide either, so I thought the darkness might make him nervous as well.

Only the first portion is enclosed and while you are riding it, you can see the light coming in. It's not that dark in there since the enclosed portion is a straight line.

My husband went on it. No problem. My daughter, 13, afraid of just about everything also had no problem.

I would show your DS8/9 the slide and see what he thinks. My DS started going down that slide when he was about 6, but he's a bit of a thrill seeker. If it doesn't appeal to him, there is a small slide that goes into a small pool right behind the flying jib slide that perhaps might work for him.

I’m a Pooh sized guy and he will be fine. I always give it a little big of the jump when I get on. He will be fine. I love that slide. I don’t love the steps haha
