bc/yc sab rehab update?

We're planning our March trip and want to know if anyone has a handle on how the renovations at YC/BC and SAB are progressing? We can still change our locale to WL, if need be, It'd be lots less $$$ and the only reason we chose YC was the pools and SAB!

I was surprised at the huge portion of SAB that was closed. The only area that was open was the zero entry sandy bit, and part of the lazy river. Everything else was boarded up and there was construction everywhere. I would imagine by March that most of the work will be done. The part I've circled in yellow shows what was open from Jan 26-Feb 2. There is also a ton of construction siding work being done on the Yacht Club right now. One whole side of the building was covered in tarp.
Personally I was glad it was too cold to swim otherwise I would have been really disappointed in Stormalong Bay. I know the pool needs a rehab and the work must be done. Hopefully by March all the work will be completed.

I just got back from the BC yesterday and the side of the pool where the slide is located was still sectioned off and dry. The strange thing is that I never saw anyone doing any work in the area.

I bet it will open on time. I can't recall a time when WDW didn't make a published deadline with rennovations. Now with completion of Test Track..... !

It actually broke twice while we were on it this week. I wonder if they'll ever get it right! LOL

The new OKW slide was a few weeks late - but that was a new construction of course.

I did just read on teh DVC board that someone who just checked out of BCV said they are starting to fill the closed section of SAB. Said it has about a foot of water in it.
