Is the BC worth staying at? We really loved the Boardwalk when we stayed at the Dolphin during our last trip, but for an extra $150 - 200 a night??????????? We need a room that sleeps 5 that's why we picked POR.

Thanks!

I am swaying between these two resorts too. We only visited the BC but loved the close proximity to Epcot, my kids fav park. dd loved feeding the fish in front to YC. I read about fishing and feeding fish at POR and started looking at that resort. We have decided on spliting our trip, 4 days at POR and 3 or 4 days at BC or S&D. S

You won't regret staying at POR. We split a trip in 2000 between POR (then Dixie Landings) and the Poly. I actually enjoyed POR more, except for the ease of getting to MK with our 2 kids, and my 3 nieces and nephews. If you have young kids, it is better. Old Man Island is great. There are smaller pools by every building for a quick dip. There are food choices for every taste. The boat rides to Downtown Disney are great for kids, and moms who love to shop. There is an arcade, and fishing, and even canoe rental. Another activity I highly recommend is surrey bike rental. It is such a beautiful resort, it is well worth it.

The BC is beautiful, and I too love Epcot, but given the choice, I'd go with POR-especially for a family of 5! Enjoy!:D

In Dec 2001 we got a room at BC for about $189. Wow! For this late March the rate was $439. The POR was $109 AP rate. No contest.

The BC is awesome but for $330 per night difference - again, no contest. POR!
