My goodness the thread title looks like alphabet soup!

The IPO's at the Beach Club have been fabulous! I would like to thank them and I know tips are not allowed. I have something in mind but I was wondering about the timing. We are arriving 7/24. Is it appropriate to send our Thank You gift in advance (before we arrive) or should I send it after we return home? I do not want to lug a basket on the plane at 7 in the morning (I am NOT a morning person).

Actually, I would try to do it while you are there. I would not do it before arrival personally. After would be OK too. Just my opinion

Wait a minute, just re-read your post. If you mean mailing it to the resort so that you can give it to them when you get there, that sounds like the best plan. Sorry, I get confused easily!

I had the pleasure of working with this staff during our December YC trip. They are excellent. Early in my planning, I sent a chocolate gift basket for them all to share. As my trip approached, I wanted to do something extra special, they were just that great. Because it was close to the holidays, I found ornaments through the Make a Wish Foundation. I believe the inscription said something about "making wishes come true". I thought it was so appropriate that I had them engraved for each staff member. I did end up sending these down about a week before our trip. I'm not exactly sure how close that department is to the actual resort, but sometimes they are not in the same building. I didn't want to risk missing them.

Please also take a minute to write a letter for their supervisor. I know gifts are a great way to say thanks, but it's especially helpful for them at review time to have these types of letters in their file.
