We are planning to go again in May. We loved AKL and will be spending at least 3 days at the lodge, but, we would also like to stay at a different resort. This time no kids just us.We will only visit 1 or 2 parks,so, most of our time will be spent at the resort. What do you love most about BC,BW and YC???

Help us decide!!!

You can't go wrong between the three.... each has it's own charm, favor & style. We love the BW because it's our home resort (DVC) but we also visit the BC & YC. Also, with WS being so close ... you can't make a bad choice.

Dude

no kids and lots of time at the resort? Id so be at the grand floridian!

But with your choices, I'd go for the YC, only because its farthest away from stuff so it might mean less people. maybe?

Well, since you already noted that you will be spending part of your trip at the AKL I would reconmend the YC. The following are the reasons why we would choose the YC over the BWI or the BC.

1. The YC rooms all have full balconies.
2. We stayed at the BWI in 1999 and we did not like the fact that you had to go onto the boardwalk with everyone else for dining options. The "feel" as my husband put it was not the same as the YC.

Hope you have a great trip.

YC or BC would be my choice. They have a great pool in Stormalong Bay, some nice restaurants in the hotels, so yoou don't have to deal with the boardwalk crowds if you don't feel like.

The BC side rooms are decorated in lighter, "beachier" colors...peach.pale blue, pale green, yellow. The YC side is a little more brass and oak, lots of red, white, and blue nautical stuff. Both very nice.

I haven't stayed at BC or BW yet, but YC is my fav resort!

I have loved WL for years and didn't think I could like anything better until we stayed at YC in June. I fell in love.

LOCATION!!!

Just a short walk to Epcot!

I like the theming of YC better than BC.

Stormalong Bay is just super--even for adults. And yes, I did go down the slide several times;)

I really don't think you could go wrong with any of those 3.

I think it's a matter of personal preferences. If you'd like a more quiet location, the YC is for you. It's the calmest of the 3 resorts, yet all the action is just across the lake at the Boardwalk. Plus the above posted good point about the availability of dining options inside the resort.

The BC, although just next door, is similar to the YC in every way, except it's much more noisy and active than the YC. Also the BC is undergoing renovations right now. I'm not sure when they'll be done.

The Boardwalk is my favorite, due to the activity. If you have a room with a view of Crescent Lake, the activity is right under your feet. In the evening you can sit out on the balcony with a bottle of Champagne and watch the world go by. The rooms are very nice, and you can quickly be out of your room and on the Boardwalk. There are also more dining options (ESPN, Flying Fish, Spoodles, Bakery, Brew Pub), but you do need to go out on the Boardwalk to reach them (that's my favorite part).

All 3 have equally easy access to EPCOT and MGM.

I agree with the other posters, you can't go wrong. Enjoy yourselves.

DH and I just did our first ever "resort hopping" trip in early Nov. We stayed 2 nights at the AKL and 4 nights at the BW and loved them both! We loved the BW so much that we are now in the process of buying into the DVC (resale) with the BW as our home resort :) Hence, I'd recommend the BW! I loved the location, the pool, the fun waterslide, etc. We've stayed at the BC before, and we found it to be kind of noisy. The pool there is GREAT, though.
