Bbq??

Gas for BBQ'ing, because it's easier.

But taste-wise, I prefer our smoker.

Gas is easier, charcoal tastes better.

My DH insists on using a charcoal grill ONLY. We can never have spontaneous BBQ's...

Prefer charcoal, however it gives dh heartburn so we do gas. Plus I do like the fact that you can grill instantly.

wood preferably something that tastes nice

charcoal

gas is the last resort

I agree with both! I BBQ using the gas grill out of convenience. The smoker is wonderful and a charcoal grill tastes sooo good! Especially a baked potato wrapped in foil. YUM.:thumbsup2

I'm with just about everyone else

Gas for convenience - used several times a week year round

Charcoal for taste - maybe once week during the summer - every few months in the winter

Mesquite or applewood if its something special - ribeye steaks come to mind - Birthday dinner, anniversary meal or when camping

I have a Weber charcoal grill that now has last longer then two gas grills. It still looks brand new and will easily out cook two more gas grilles.

Oh yes,the taste of coal or wood is much better then gas anyday!!:thumbsup2

Charcoal here. Am just finishing up my roasted dog from tonites birthday supper and nothing can match the taste of charcoal grilled dawgs.

Charcoal all the way. We have one of those chimney starters so DH can get the grill going pretty fast (no need for starter fluid). We also keep Mesquite and other woods to throw on the coals.

Charcoal! If I want to cook with gas, I'll cook it inside on the stove.

Can't ever have spontaneous BBQ's, takes hours and hours to BBQ :goodvibes

Have a cheap gas grill. Works since we eat at 5 and it would take too much to get charcoal going after getting home from work.

Wish I had a charcoal though for the weekends when I have more time to prepare. Would really like a smoker to do some BBQ for picnics as well. We have family gatherings often in the summers. Some pulled pork and ribs would be good for the summer gatherings.

Hardwood lump coal started in a chimney. Once it's going throw on some soaked hickory or 'skeeter (mesquite) chips. YUM-YUM!

I have an electric and a charcoal grill. The electric cooks FAST but the charcoal adds that flavour I cook out for!

I LOVE BBQ!! Now I'm hungry... ;)

Charcoal-DH gave away our gas grill. At first, I thought he was cuckoo but the taste difference is incredible. Charcoal BBQ is more delicious, IMO.
