Quick question.... have to clean out the freezer before our trip. I need to cook two pork loins this week (about 2 lbs each). DH is away, DS doesn't eat meat... and it's too much for DD and myself to eat! So I was thinking about trying to make some sort of sandwich filling to bring with us for the July 4th weekend. But since we are NORTHERNERS we don't know much about BBQ and such! How would I go about making this? Can I cook the pork plain, shred it, and then add the bbq sauce? Or should I put the sauce in the crockpot with the pork? HOw do you cook pork in a crockpot?? How do you shred pork?? Or can this even be done?? Is this an okay cut of pork to use for this??? HELP!!! FYI... I'm a terrible cook, I hate to cook, so it needs to be "cooking for dummies" easy. THank for any/all help with this!...................P

I do this all the time....my family loves it and it is so easy..I love having dinner done when I come home from work.

I usually throw my pork in the crock before I leave in the am. I season it with garlic powder and pepper. Throw on about 1/4 of a bottle of barb sauce (if I don't feel like making homemade), set to low and cover.

when I get home, I drain off the water that has accumulated in the crock, shred with 2 forks and add remaining sauce to desired taste...and turn the cooker to high for a few minutes to warm through.

Serve with rolls and a big dill pickle...

I also bring this with me to get togethers as it is easy to keep warm in the crock..
