BBB Timing Question

Hello All -

We are heading to DL this weekend for my DD 7th birthday trip. I would like to do BBB with her but I am not sure of the best timing.

We are going to get to the resort on Saturday with the intention on swimming and hanging out at the hotel and DTD. Our plan is to do DL on Sunday and CA on Monday. So, here are my options.

1.) I could take her into the park Saturday evening to do BBB. I just don't know how well the hairstyle will last through the night!

2.) I can do BBB on Sunday but that is MM and I want to get through as many rides as possible. Also, due to D23, I know that morning will be less crowded than evening so we want to ride as much as we can before the convention gets done for the evening.

3.) I can do BBB on Monday morning before CA opens. My concern is that I want her to have maximum time with her style before we head back to reality.

Any thoughts? TIA...Lisa

If she picks the classic hairstyle, it will stay in place through the night. They put a LOT of product in it. If she picks the diva style, a late morning appt might be better. You could easily do a 11 am appt. It only takes the Fairy God Mothers in training a few minutes -- they are fast!!!

We're also going for my DD's 7th birthday (in December). My thought was to make a PS for the BBB at 11:45 or noon and then head over to AG for lunch around 1:00. That would give her most of the day with her fancy hairstyle, but would give us the morning to get on as many rides as we want. We'd be ducking out for BBB and AG right when the parks would be getting more crowded. My DH can run around and collecting any last fastpasses that might be available for us while we're at BBB and meet up with us at AG.

We're going in October and I'd like to take my 8 y/o daughter to do this. We don't have any special meals or otherwise (no character dining, etc). So I was trying to figure out when would be best to do BBB. Is it something better done at the beginning of your trip or the end? Early in the day or later?

Keep in mind that you get extras of all the product they use. So, you can help DD be princess for the rest of the trip! AND as long as she has the tiara on, all the CMs will address her as Princess, so I'd do it early on & get the most bang for your buck! -- get there, do your early am rides & then do BBB before lunch.

My BFF and I did this last week (we are adults) and it took about an hour all together with the photoshoot and our hair did not move, like the PP said they put a LOT of product in and if she just does the fairytale princess it is just a cute little bun with the tiara so you shouldn't have a problem with it holding up. I got the Pop Princess and my BFF got the Diva Princess and where we had hair pieces, they do such a good job that it will stay in place without a problem. We got a nice cinch backpack with the comb they used, the makeup palate, and face jewels, oh and a princess sash. I was celebrating my birthday that day so I got a special birthday sash. They are all so nice and accommodating, was a wonderful experience.

I did this with my girls, DD13 and I took ours out that night but DD9 liked hers so much that she left it in for 3 nights/4 days! LOL Yup, it lasted quite a while, it would have stayed longer but I told her she needed to wash her hair. LOL They use a lot of product, it will last a long time!!
