BBB Questions...Hair Styling?

Hello all,

Quick questions. We are going to the BBB for my DD3's birthday in October. I had planned on going to the one in MK, before breakfast at CRT. My 2questions are,

1) What time does the BBB open? I wanted to get the first ressies for CRT, but also wanted to take my daughter to BBB. Would I be able to make it?

2) My daughter is mixed (I'm African American and Native American, her dad French and Italian) and I was wondering if they would know how to style her hair? Not being judgemental of their skills, but it takes patience and skill to deal with her head of hair!:rotfl2: I was wondering if I could just do her hair and dress, then take her there to get the glitter, makeup and nails done? Would they let me do that?

TIA! You guys have all the answers!:thumbsup2

you should be ok. honestly there just going to pull up her hair in a super tight bun. In retrospect I would have done a better job, but it really is all about the experience.

I believe it opens at 9, and I was told it would take 30-45 minutes when I made the reservation. There was one little girl that was sitting in the chair for over an hour. She did not look the least bit happy, poor girl, and her Mom said they had to pull her out of bed to make the reservation. Her hair was not combed, and that was what took so long, it was really ratty.

Anyway, I have seen pictures of little girls that had mixed racial backgrounds, but to be honest, I didn't really pay attention to what was done with their hair. I know there are some huge threads on here with tons of different pictures, but you might want to consider asking this on the Family board as well.

I have 2 boys...but I read where Barbershop in MK will fix "up do's" for $15 (complete with glitter and such). I once briefly spoke with a mother/daughter in the Restroom and the daughter was in tears because her hair was pulled so tight she had a headache. However, if I was a little girl...I would endure!:lovestruc

Thanks! I wasn't sure which board to post it on, so I posted on the one I frequented the most. Thanks for the recommendation! But yeah, I was going to wake her up to take her there first thing in the morning, but it seems as if I would have to miss opening ressies for CRT :(

I'll make sure to go through some of the threads and look at the pics! Thanks again!:thumbsup2

I had thought about taking her there to save $ and time, but I don't think there's anything quite like being a little princess going to BBB.:cloud9:

I really want her to have the "royal treatment". We'll be bringing our own dresses from the Disney Store, so really, we'd just need the hair (I've seen the bun that they do, and that's the same one I put in my daughter's hair everyday!), nails and makeup.

And the thing with the headache! :scared1: I would be so heartbroken if my daughter was in tears over her hair! Another reason why I wanted to do it myself, because she's used to me doing it and I know how/what to do and put in it. But I will admit, I'm no FGIT when it comes to glitter, so I will surely need their help! :rotfl2:

You know....why not take her the day before? Do an afternoon appt, don't swim, let her sleep with it in....it's a high tight bun, my DD11 kept hers in for 3 days and she got mad when I made her take it out. lol It's totally doable to just leave it in, you may have to reslick some pieces with hair gel the next morning but I bet it would stay. Just take the tiara out or the hair piece off and put it back the next day.

I would do that, but the day before is the day we come in :( and we have a Fantasmic! Dinner package for that night. Also, she does not like sleeping with her hair in ponytails or anything restricting. (She's a spoiled little diva! lol) But I might just call Disney in the morning and ask if they'll just do the nails and makeup.
