DD has decided that she is going to attempt to do makeup on her younger sisters rather than have us spend time at BBB. I don't own or use makeup. Tell me what I should buy her so she stands a chance of it looking comparable. TIA

I agree, ELF brand will give you the most bang for your buck while still looking better than that crappy play makeup targeted at little girls. I'd pick up some sparkly eyeshadow, blush, lipgloss, shimmer (you can get really pretty highlighter sticks or highlighter cream that will give the same effect) and maybe some mascara if your girls aren't too little :)

Oh! And don't they put some type of sparkle/shimmer in their hair too? I don't think regular makeup lines sell anything like that, but maybe you'll find some type of sparkle hairspray online.

It's Halloween season, so you can find glitter hairspray pretty much anywhere right now

I don't know if I am super sensitive or not but elf eye shadow makes my eyes (the actually eye ball) slightly itchy after I apply it.

I would watch some youtube tutorials on makeup application if you aren't super familiar with makeup. Elf is a decent entry level makeup brand. I would maybe ask your friends and family if they have any samples or gifts with purchase make up items that you could have. I am forever getting samples and could easily round up tons of samples perfect for what you need. Buying makeup that you may never use again seems a bit wasteful. Another line that I love for inexpensive makeup that has some fun items is ColourPop.

I completely forgot to mention, but ELF brand is cruelty free, if that's something you want to be wary of :) I looked up the previously mentioned ColourPop, and looks like it's also cruelty free!

This is a good warning -- OP: if you can round up some samples or borrow some make up from a friend or relative, do a patch test on your girls to make sure that no one is allergic to any of the cosmetics. It would be a shame to ruin their Disney magic with an allergic reaction.
