We are going to WDW for the Christmas Holiday this year. My daughter will have just turned three. The BBB sound amazing but I'm worried she is too young.

How long does it take?
Is the full package worth it or should I go with the smaller package and maybe bring my own dress?

I've also heard of some mothers getting a treatment too. I thought it might be cool for us both to get a princess makeover...

Any tips for a 3yr old at BBB?

we just did it with my dd6 and dd4 and they did love it... did i think it was worth it...no. we went to the one in DTD, it took about 25min for each of them. It was mass chaos there, there was not one person who we encountered working there that was even remotely pleasant (big turn off, as they barely even spoke to our girls) The one at the catle looked even moer insane! The only reason my girls did it...grandma gave them the $ to get it done and I agreed to make the reservations for them. They looked very cute, but it is a lot of $ to spend on a vaca where the kids will obviously want to swim...and this is quite difficult to do it they want to keep in the "do"..... and it was like cement with the amount of products they used in their hair...so when it got hot out they were complaining about it.

That is just my honest opinion, I would have preferred the kids get their hair braided or get the colored hair weaving things which are so much more appopriate for a vacation.

I just wanted to tell you what happened to us with our daughter at BBB. Our daughter was just shy of 4 in September when we were going to WDW and MNSSHP. We made an appointment for the full Castle package and she was really looking forward to it. It was all she could talk about. We told her exactly what they were going to be doing and what to expect. She is such a girly girl and loves all things make up and hair.
Anyway, we went to the DTD location and as the previous poster mentioned it was mobbed. I think that was problem #1 for our DD. We met our FGIT and I could tell right away that my daughter was not warming up to her. I took her into the dressing room and she loved getting into her Snow White dress and shoes.
Once she sat down it went downhill. She acted very shy and we kept telling her we could leave if she wanted to. She wanted to stay but, she was very quiet and not into the whole scene. She warmed up to the second FGIT that did her nails and had fun doing the pics at the end.
All in all she loved the final outcome but, the experience itself was not much fun for her. We could tell she was torn in between wanting to get out of there and staying to get all made up. I think she was too young for the whole process. It intimidated her.
I know most little girls are thrilled with the process from start to finish. We really thought our daughter was going to love every minute of it. It wasn't worth it for us only because she did not have the fun time we hoped she would. We are planning on skipping BBB in December and just getting her a dress. I will do her hair back in our room.
Unless of course, she really wants to give it a try again.:lovestruc

We have some wonderful pictures from that day. Even the ones when she was not smiling!! I hope your DD loves it if you decide to give it a try!

I would say that for most 3 year olds, it is too young. My DD got the colored gel and pixie dust in the Main Street Barber Shop done and she loved it! It was much cheaper and tons of people thought we had gone to BBB.

We just attended a P&PP and for that event I did my DD's hair myself. I put it up in a top bun and sprayed it with hairspray and glitter. It wasn't the same as BBB, but it was appropriate for a 3 year old wearing a Belle Dress and she was comfortable.

When we went to DTD and saw BBB for the first time I thought it was mobbed because it was a P&PP night. I didn't think it was that busy all the time 'cause if it is I'm not sure I'll pay that much for my DD to ever get it done.

The whole thing takes about 30-45 minutes. The full package is a fun experience and truly only worth it if you plan on buying costume from disney. They are currently in the process of changing the dress at disney so if you book a smaller package and decided to upgrade you can always do that when you arrive. We do it everytime we go and my dd really enjoys it if you think your dd will sit there to have her hair done go for she will love it.

It wouldn't be for me.

That's a lot of money, and our whole family could do a lot with it.

I'm planning to get both of my girls glittery hairdos at the Main Street barber shop-- my son can get something there too if he wants. But all 3 kids will be a fraction of the cost of one at the BBB.

If it's something you want to do, do it and have a fabulous time. It just isn't my choice.

We did the medium package which was $50 & it was so -o-o-o worth it!! My girls wore their own princess dresses - you get about $40 worth of merchandise - a crown, a hairclip, the sash, lipstick, nailpolish, etc. My girls loved it! They felt like princesses when they were done & everyone all day told them how gorgeous they looked. They want to know when they can do it again! I would definitely do it - worth it! And a photopass photog took pictures of them throughout & then we sent & did a private photo session which was put on my Photopass card - I pre-bought the CD so I am going to have great updated photos of each girl as well!

My DD has gone twice - once at age 3 1/2 at DTD and once at a little over 4 at the MK. She loved it both times and the Fairy Godmothers were fabulous! We do the middle pacakge and take our own dress - it works out great. The MK location was running late when we were there but it seemed like there were a lot of new Fairy Godmothers. The process takes about 30 minutes (up to 45 minutes depending on the hairstyle and the child hair type). To us it is worth every penny and our dd loves it!

Oh YES! You have to do this at least once!!! It's only going to get more and more expensive so go for it now! Make sure you call and make your appt early! The Holidays are very busy and book fast!!!!

We did this for my 3 yr olds birthday, and she LOVED every minute of it. She looked sooo cute. One of her pics is down below in my siggy. I would definatly recommend it. We did the middle road package one time, and the lowest package the second time, and she had a blast. She wore her own dresses there. She was called princess all day and got a ton of attention. She was also strong enough to pull the sword out of the stone and was named princess of the day, and I am convinced it was because she was all dressed up. I say go for it!!!!
