BBB in the summer???

We're surprising out girls with a trip to Disney in less than 2 weeks... arriving ON my older DD's 9th bday

Anyway, the last time we went, we were waiting for our name to be called @ CRT for breakfast and a little girl just emerged from BBB decked out with the complete package. My then 8 yr old looked longingly at her and whispered that she wishes she could do that someday....

We are again going in the summer. Hot. Humid. Did I say Hot and Humid? I had considered the $55 pkg for each girl (2) but I just don't know if I can bring myself to spend the $$$ when they most likely will want to jump in the pool afterwards?????

Just wondering what your experiences have been if your DD had it done in the summer months???

We did it last August with our then 7 year old daughter. She really enjoyed it. Did it around 10am, got a bunch of pictures taken by the photopass guys at the BBB and on Main Street in front of the castle. We then went to Akershus for lunch. At the end of lunch she wanted to change out of her princess costume, and by 5:00pm we were back at the hotel, in the pool. She really enjoyed the experience and even though it was hot, we felt it was worth it. This summer when we go back, she said she doesn't want to do it again, but she did enjoy it. I think its worth going to once.

My DD (age 5) has had it done 3 times and I don't think time of year has much to do with its longevity. If your DD'S do not like or are not used to their hair being pulled back and up tight, they will probably take it out pretty quickly. The 2nd time I literally washed my $55 down the drain 3 hrs. later. I spend the money simply for the look on her face when she sees herself in the mirror and the few totally great pictures I get of her all made up. BBB also sends you home with the makeup not used during the session. If you can afford it I would give them the experience at least once.
