We have done BBB at MK twice, but never at DTD. What are the differences as far as atmosphere and photo shoots? We always bought the Photopass cd and took advantage of both the Exposition hall and Rose Garden photo shoots. Can we still just get the Photopass pics and not have to buy their photo package? Is the backround the same? I'm a little hesitant about doing it in DTD, as I'm afraid it might not feel as special as the castle. Anybody whose visited both locations who can comment...maybe post some DTD pics?

I have done both but it's been awhile for DTD location. I personally found Castle easier to get to/from.
The photo studio at DTD is located in guest services building and closer to bbb location than Castle. I have found there is usually not a line at DTD unlike MK so they seem to spend more time with you. The background at MK is also a darker blue but otherwise both are the same.

You can just buy CD and not photo pkg. but the highest level pkg includes the photo pkg.

I will try and find u some pics from both locations.

We have BBB reservation for 9:10 at DTD in July. How long will it take me to get from there to MK? I don't want us to miss alot. My dd really wants to do it but not sure about the time issue.
Thanks!!

If you're driving, about 15 - 20 minutes allowing for traffic.

If you're taking the Disney bus system, no buses go from DTD to the parks. You'll have to go to a resort (any resort) and change buses there to a MK bus. I'd allow about an hour seeing as you have to wait for two buses.

In the distant past there was direct bus service to the parks, but too many people would park free at DTD to avoid paying for parking at the parks. The merchants and other guests complained that there were few parking spots for shoppers.

Last week my DBF did MK BBB with her daughter and I did DTD BBB with my two DDs (on different days) and looking at the pics from the photoshoots I am hardpressed to find much difference. They are all darling, all 3 girls have the same hairstyles, all 3 are doing essentially the same poses...and as an aside all three appointments were around 4:30 in the evening and there was no waiting at either place (one was 6/5 and one was 5/30).

We both ended up having the princess breakfast in Norway the following day and had no problems with the hair staying overnight.

My DD4 did BBB in DTD yesterday. She had a noon appt and they were running about 20 minutes behind. It was a great experience. She loved it. The photopass place was not crowded at all and was quick and easy to get in and out of. The photographers spent lots of time with DD. (I preordered the photopass CD, so we did not get the picture package. ) One thing thing that made the experience extra special was the little princess parade they did through DTD. They lined the Gould up and they walked and waved through DTD and ended up et the carousel... And they all got a free ride. It was adorable. It started et 2:00... I think they do it daily.

You'd be better off waiting for a monoail resort bus (even if you have to wait longer for one of those), then you can just take the monorail to MK.

And, if you take the Contemporary resort bus, you can walk to MK.

I'd say this would take no more than 45 min (that's including a max 15 min wait for a bus, as there are, I think 2 monorail bus lines to DTD)
