BBB/Ariel question

My dd4 wants to do the BBB and wants to dress up as Ariel. Does anyone happen to have a picture of a little Ariel they could share?? We're trying to decide whether to do it or not on our trip this May and whether or not to bring or buy costume there. Thanks in advance!!

They do three different hairstyles at BBB (someone once posted a scan of the brochure, but I probably couldn't find the thread now). There is the Fairytale Princess (classic updo - like Cinderella), the Disney Diva, which has hair extensions, and the pop princess, which has different colored extensions that basically stick out straight from the head (hard to explain . . .). None of them are particularly Ariel-type hairstyles, but your DD can pick whatever style she likes and wear her Ariel costume anyway. Or you can buy the deluxe Ariel costume there even if you don't do the most expensive package. Expect to pay about $60 for the deluxe Ariel dress.

My daughter has her heart set on being Belle and wearing a headband that has roses on it. Her hear is medium length, kind of in a long bob (she does wear pony tails), will they let her hair down and make it curly, do you know?

As far as I know, they don't curl hair - they just do one of the three styles. My DD7 got the Disney Diva, which involved putting her own hair in a ponytail (it is shoulder-length), then putting same-colored hair extensions in that were curly and matched her hair color. (Don't have her picture posted - DH is funny that way.) That is probably the closest style to the Belle look. You can see that style in posts 12, 14 and 16 in the link (and probably other posts too, but I stopped looking). If your DD has brown hair already, it would be a pretty close look to Belle when she is dressed up. You could add the headband yourself, or your Fairy Godmother might be willing if you ask when you get there.

Both my girls loved it, although DD4 did not want the makeup done. DD7 was all over the makeup!

Thanks! I looked through the pics but didn't see any of Ariel. Just wanted to know if they have the Ariel bride costume or just the mermaid look?? Does anyone know or remember seeing a dressed up Ariel?? We are planning Askerhaus for lunch after our appt--I'm hoping Ariel still does lunch there, am I right??

This pic was taken before BBB even existed (summer 2005,) but we bought this Ariel "bride" dress at the World of Disney. They had them last summer as well. I can't remember the price, but I'm thinking around $60 or $70.

We bought the same dress last summer at DL. I think it was around $70-80. She had just turned 3 and remembered which one she wanted for over a month. WHen we bought it she didn't change her mind which I thought she would (loves pink). It was neat because then we had dinner at Ariel's grotto and she got lots of attention from Ariel there. She also used it at Halloween.
This year she wants Cinderella and I did already buy it for $18.00 at the disneyshopping.com. It is just as nice as the Ariel costume and short sleeves which will help in hot weather. I just couldn't stomach another $80. It works for us because she doesn't care about the shopping experience. When she gets older I sure she will care. Hopefully by then an allowance will be in place and she will spend the money she earns.
She said she wants the Diva hair.

You might want to check your local Toys R Us. I just saw the Ariel wedding dress there for 25.00 and it comes with the veil.

If you want the Mermaid Dress & not the wedding one, it's on clearance at TDS for 30$ but i can only find size 4 i need a 2! haah!
