BB or RBT for Fantasmic?

Trying to decide which dinner package for F! to go with. Which one do you like better food wise? BB used to my favorite place to eat years ago. Then it seemed the food had gone down hill so we haven't been in a long time. I'd be willing to give it a try again.

I think you should try the one you will enjoy more. I think at the Blue Bayou you will eat inside, and you get thin pads to sit on. I ate at the Riverbelle Terrace, and though I ate outside (and it was a little darker than I like when I eat), my dinner was delicious! Our seating area was just to the right of Blue Bayou, and though we didn't get the pads, we were fine. I have no problem recommending Riverbelle Terrace. :)

We did the Blue Bayou dining package a couple weeks ago and had an awesome experience! We arrived to town in the late afternoon and had late reservations - 8:40. By the time we were seated and finished dinner (at a waterfront table!) we had just enough time for one quick shopping stop before making our way to the show. The whole experience was nice, easy and relaxing. The food was delicious (and I'm picky!). The prix fixe menu was impressive with lots of different choices. I felt the entire meal and front and center, cushioned seats were well worth the money (we have premium AP so do get a discount).

We did RBT for an early dinner a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday. The food was good and service was excellent. The rolls were very, very good if you happen to love bread as much as I do. We sat inside the restaurant and it thankfully wasn't too loud like I've experienced at some of the other places we've dined in the park. The seating for Fantasmic was amazing and I didn't mind being on the ground at all. The seating area was not crowded at all so we could spread out a little bit.

I don't think you can go wrong either way. For us it came down to saving a few $$ and still enjoying the Fantasmic experience.

They both sound good. Does anyone know where you can find the menu for RBT F! dinner? I looked all over on Disney website and just went in circles. I couldn't find it but I know I saw it a while back when they first started.

I just ate at RBT last Saturday, did not think to take a picture of the menu but it matched what someone else posted in a Fantasmic thread a while ago. I had the bread, salad (appetizer), pasta (main course), and chocolate (dessert). All excellent! If there was a least-wonderful part of the meal I'd say the desserts were nothing special, but certainly not bad and designed for broad appeal. The chocolate said it came with raspberry reduction, if you aren't partial to raspberry it will be fine anyways because the reduction was a very small amount on one side of the plate and not touching the chocolate, and you can avoid it.

Thanks! I'm sure a menu will turn up at some point, I just don't why I can't find one anymore. DH seems to be leaning towards BB so maybe we'll just give that a try.

We just got back from a trip last week. Was in a similar debate as yourself and ending up going with BB. I thought it was well worth it. The BB section for F! Is also front and center. We also stayed there to watch the fireworks right after.

Good to hear! And welcome to the boards!!! :flower:

I know Touring Plans has the RBT menu on their site. I'm not sure if you have to be logged in to see it though. Basically, you have your choice of a Fresh Mixed Green Salad and Corn Chowder for a starter. The main dishes are New York Strip with a Cajun Shrimp Skewer, Rosemary-marinated Chicken Breast, and Cavatappi Pasta Primavera. The chicken and beef are served with mashed potatoes and all are served with Vegetables. Dessert is Caramel Apple Pie with streusel (an individual pie) or chocolate mouse cake with raspberry sauce.

Great! That's what I was looking for. Thanks!
