Anyone out there use these products? Is there one brand you really like or dislike?

Also, can you wear foundation over this product? I currently use a moisturizer and then a foundation (revlon colorstay) that provides quite a bit of coverage which I need. I am wondering if the BB cream alone will provide enough coverage for me?

Thanks for any advice!

I use this one and I order it from the same company in the link. I've ordered three times without a problem. Love this stuff.

I use a moisturizer underneath. I just give it about ten minutes to soak in. Then I put the BB cream on. I don't need anything else. I don't use a powder but I suppose you could. Great coverage and imo no additional foundation is needed. This tones down my redness and covers blemishes. You can use more if you want more coverage but a little goes a long way. I sometimes do a little touch-up on my nose and forehead in the evening because of my oily skin.

I tried the drugstore BB creams and all they did was make my face break out. Nothing against drug store cosmetics. I use a lot of them, but the BB creams just didn't work for me.

If you go to the skin79 website, they have other bb creams available too.

My go-to BB cream is by Smashbox. You can find it at Sephora's website. It moisturizes, primes and perfects while feeling light on my skin.

Most of your drugstore bb's don't really live up to the promises on the box and to be honest, they're really more of a tinted moisturizer. If you're like me and need a bit more coverage, I would pair it with a foundation or even a powder.

I might have to try this! It has pretty good reviews on Amazon and is half the price of Smashbox.

I have used two different bb creams, Garnier and L'Oreal. I have very fair skin and believe I have rosacea. Both do a good job of covering my skin. I normally do not use a foundation over it. I use the cream and loose powder and I am good to go.

I must say I prefer the Garnier. The color is better for my super pale skin and I like that it has color out of the tube. The L'Oreal comes out white and changes color as you apply it. The Garnier also seems a bit creamier to me.
The L'Oreal has more a of a matte look.

It will be interesting to see some more opinions. I may have to try the product listed up thread.

I think BB creams don't live up to their hype. I've tried all the expensive ones at Sephora and I don't notice a difference. I think having a good moisturizer, primer and foundation really helps my skin.

I use Glominerals makeup, Colorscience primer, and Neocutis moisturizer.

What is the difference between the pink label and the gold label?

I've tried several. I find the regular Garnier too oily and the new oil free formula is a different consistency--like a liquid foundation actually. It comes in a tube and is so runny--I took it back!

L'Oreal must make more than one also because the one that is L'Oreal Youth Code BB cream is not matte nor does it change color (I'm thinking that must be like Almay's color changing/skin matching product?)
Anyway, I really like the L'Oreal Youth Code one best. I usually do set it with powder just because I need it to last all day (a long day usually). I do like the sheerness of these products as I have gotten away of full coverage since I'm in my late 40's.

My issue with most BB's (expensive or not) is they tend to contain dimethicone which breaks me out (like that SAME day!) I cannot use anything with this product or any "-cone" in it! So, no Smashbox, no Clinique, etc. etc. etc. This stuff is in moisturizers, foundations, BB's, powder even! It has been a frustrating search.

I'm not using Bioelements skincare to find skincare with out this stuff. Luckily it is a professional product and I can buy it wholesale.

I don't know. I've only used the one. I think if you go to the Skin79 North America sight gives info on their products.

The article above is where I started with my search for a BB cream. Unfortunately, they just didn't work out for me. But, it is nice that you can go to Sephora and ask for a sample of these! It really takes the pressure off when trying out new things. I would hate to spent $20-40 on a BB cream that I didn't like.

Also, I believe Sephora still takes back products that you bought with them but didn't like.

They have nice size samples there too.

The L'Oreal that dd and I are using is called Magic Skin Beautifier BB cream. I did not realize that they had more than one kind.

I've used a Korean brand of BB cream (can't remember which one). I remember it covered smoothly and matched my skin tone pretty well.

One of my friends who is Korean told me once that Korean foundations look really good, but they contain lead.

Does anyone know if the American versions contain any harmful chemicals? Parabens, etc.

Seems like each brand's BB/CC Cream seems to do slightly different things and offer different levels of coverage/SPF etc. The only one so far that I've tried and liked (no, actually love and continue to use) is the new Clinique CC Cream. It's the only Broad Spectrum SPF I've found that I can wear daily under my foundation. Doesn't feel heavy, doesn't make my greasy either. On days off work and when I'm not wearing a full face of make up, I'll use the CC Cream on it's own set with a little loose powder. It does feel very light weight, but does seem to actually "color correct" as advertised because my skin looks great even while wearing it alone :)

Any Clinique counter in Macys should be able to give you a sample of this if you'd like to try it :)

I use a Loreal..not sure which one but it does come out white and changes color as you rub it in. I love it! I was so impressed the first time I used it that I made my daughter come and see the difference between the 2 sides of my face after I put it on one side. She wasn't impressed but I think it really evens out my skin. I sometimes use a little bare Minerals after it.

I use the Olay BB Cream and like it. It looks even better when used as a base for my bare minerals foundation

I use Estee Lauder's BB Cream. I have "mature" skin, but was very oily for years. I dust on a little powder on top of the cream. Sometimes I use BareMinerals Mineral Veil and other times I use powder foundation, applied with a brush. I like it. I just don't want to bother with heavy (or even concealing) foundation anymore.

I use Clinique's BB cream. I really like it! I also use a powder over it. I am middle aged but my skin tends to be oily.

To the PP concerned about parabens, you might consider the Tarte BB cream. It's one of the "green" brands that Sephora carries. I have been using it for a year and I am pretty happy with it.
