My family and I are staying at the Baylake Towers in June :woohoo: I have never stayed there, but have seen awesome video footage of the two bedroom suite, which we will be staying at. Has anyone ever stayed there? What did you like or not like about it? Any input would be apprecaited!

THANKS!! :tinker:

I stayed there a year ago and liked it. You can't beat the location!! I definitely took advantage of the path to MK and the easy monorail transportation.
The room style wasn't really my thing and some of the furniture was very banged up already. We had a standard view room, but could see the electrical water parade from our room, which was awesome.
If you are a DVC member, you have to go up to the Top of the World Lounge. It was easily the best view of WDW I have ever seen. I would go back and stay at BLT just for that option.
Have a wonderful trip!

Not a suite. It's a villa. Or you can also call it a timeshare.

Do a quick search, there's quite an extensive BLT thread with people posting about their stays.

I guess technically it is a villa, but I refer to it as a two bedroom suite also. I guess it shows that I have stayed in hotels more than DVC units. Our family of six loved the two bedroom and especially having three baths. The balcony is nice to sit out on for some quiet time, and the entire resort was quiet and relaxing. Our unit looked over the pool and lake and was beautiful. We especially liked the ease of walking to the MK too. For a little more action and food we enjoyed walking over to the attached CR, and it was very easy to pick up the monorail.

I've posted pictures on the Resort Video and Photos thread. We were there August, 2010 and absolutely LOVED it! :thumbsup2 No problems with the room at all; we had a Bay Lake/CR view and could see DTD; the Epcot Ball; TofT-HS and on a clear day EE at AK. We were in Room #8044; 10th floor. The only, very minor, problem was the side entrance door from CR. Sometime the room key didn't work but 95% of the time there would be someone coming out, so we really had no problem entering. I think we had to use front entrance only once. There were 7 of us; DD and husband had the Master Suite; DH, younger DD and I shared the 2nd bedroom and DGD's slept on the sofa bed. Plenty room for all of us. On a scale of 1-10, I give BLT a "Top 10"! :tink:

We stayed at BLT in June 2010 in a 1 bdrm villa Room #8011 lake view which was on the inner circle overlooking the shuffleboard court. We love the contemporary decor as well and it is very peaceful at BLT. We also had a great view of the pool as well as the lake. We loved everything about it, especially being able to walk to MK was priceless and walking to CR was easy peasy. Since you will be staying at BLT you can use both the BLT pool as well as the CR pool. We did this a couple of times. Being able to throw a load of clothes in when we returned after a day out was fantastic. This meant I had no dirty clothes to wash when we returned home.:cloud9:

If you are a cash reservation, you get mousekeeping on a daily basis. They give you 1 box of tide per day but I bring my own. If you use fabric softener and dryer sheets you have to bring those yourself as they do not supply those items. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots/pans, silverware, etc. They also supply the dish washing liquid. We are now spoiled with the amount of space that the 1 bdrm villa offered. Along with the full kitchen and w/d, it makes it very difficult for us to stay in a regular room now. This is why we will be staying at BLT in a 1 bdrm villa LV again this June.

Have a wonderful trip.:woohoo::yay::woohoo:

Below is a picture of the view that we had. I thought I had more but they are on my sons IPad. :guilty:

I stayed in a 2-bedroom villa at BLT (lake view) this past trip (January 2011). It was fabulous! There were 9 of us altogether and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Having 3 bathrooms really helped. I would definitely consider staying there again some time.
