Bay Lake Tower Transportation/Check In Questions

Just curious from people who have gone if you know the answers to the following:

Magical Express -

• when you go to bay lake tower does the bus stop at other resorts? which ones?
• Does it take a long time to get to bay lake from the airport? is it longer, shorter, or same as going to other DVC resorts?
• Also does the magical express drop you off at the contemporary building, the bay lake tower building or either one?
• where do you check in for a stay at bay lake at BLT, the original building or either one?

Park Buses -

Where do you catch park buses..is it at Bay lake or the contemporary building or do you have to take the monorail to the transportation center?

Check-in for BLT is located in the Contemporary. DME would drop you off there. I believe that BLT & the Contemporary share a bus stop to get to the parks.

When going to Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney, Bay Lake Tower guests get on the Disney buses from the Contemporary bus station. Also the buses share with the Polynesian and Grand Floridian.

All resorts share buses for Magical Express. And there is no fixed route. One time CR may be the first resort dropped off, next time it may be the last.

I just returned from BLT and I have to say that transportation from BLT is excellent. There are soooo many options. The buses, and the monorail at the resort get you almost anywhere easily. If you want to go to a different resort (Non-monorail resorts), its a 5 minute walk to the MK buses. And there are boats to Wilderness Lodge and the campgrounds.

1. The DME bus that I was on stopped at Wilderness Lodge and the Grand Floridian first. It would have stopped at the Poly too, but no one on board was staying there.
2. From my plane's arrival to check-in was about 1-1/2 hrs. If Contemporary/BLT was the first drop off, it would have been about 1 hour.
3/4. The bus drops you off at the Contemporary. Check-in is at the Contemporary
5. There is a bus stop between the Contemporary and BLT.

Our ME bus stopped at the Poly, GF, WL before stopping at the CR. Overall it look approximately 60 minutes to get to the CR.

On the way to the airport, our ME bus (3 hours before flight departure time) stopped at the CR first, then WL, then Poly then GF and on to the airport. It took around 75 minutes.

The ME bus picks up and drops off at the CR. The other park buses stop at the bus stop between the CR and BLT.
