we rented points and are staying in a Deluxe Studio at BLT. Anyone know if the Mini Fridge has a partial freezer inside it? Thanks

Yes they did previously. We stayed in one in May and it had a freezer. However from lots of other threads/posts I have read it appears that all the DVC resorts are phasing those types of fridges out so you could possibly get one without a freezer if the fridge in your unit had to be replaced for some reason.

DVC is indeed phasing out the mini-refrigerators with freezer sections. When I stayed at VGF when it first opened, I complained to DVC member services about the lack of the freezer section, as I take a lot of my own food due to religious dietary restrictions. Member services responded that "members have requested the units without freezer sections so as to make more room in the refrigerator"! They also stated that if I am in a resort with a kitchen, the kitchen would keep my food in their freezer. Not very convenient!
I have found, however, that if you turn the thermostat all the way down to coldest, items near the cooling coils will stay frozen. Next time I go, I am planning to try placing a rolled up newspaper in front of those items near the coils, so as to "block in" the cold, and see how that works.

Yes, for whatever reason, DVC is phasing them out. On my split stay 2 weeks ago, my studio at AKV was "freezer-less", and since I like ice in my drinks, I had to go to the ice machine. Yet, at BCV, I had a freezer portion, with ice cube trays! Maybe because BCV hasn't been rehabbed yet. But I loved making and having ice cubes.

I doubt they would keep your food frozen in their freezer alongside the resort foods. Another WAG by MS.

In September we had a freezer section. No ice tray though. The refrigerator on the coldest setting did freezer some our water.
