It had been a nice day in downtown LA. I was with my mother, who is a veterinarian, she owns her own hospital. My friend was with me too. We are both 10 years old. We were suppose to go and have pizza, after my mom was done working. But her work ended before it was suppose to. Because a meteor hit not far away, we knew that might happen, but were not expecting them in this area. There was a huge smoke cloud, and then all of a sudden we heard what sounded like guns being fired. My mom peeked just outside of the window, then told us to go and hide, and to get down, not to move, not yet, and to be as quiet as possible. Then we heard more gun fire, and could hear people screaming, and crying. We were as quiet as anyone could be. The bullets then hit our place, we were all crouched down, my mom was covering us with her body. Then the shooting stopped.......but not for long, because off in the distance we could hear all of this all over again. We were scared, but we are strong, and surviving. My mother kept telling us that we will be fine, that some one will come to help, and if not, we will take care of our selfs..........Then all of a sudden the front doors were being knocked down, and there was yelling, thank god they were the Marines!

The rest our story will be told in Battle L A

UPDATE Is On Post #16.....

I'm not into sci fi movies, which defy reality. Aliens and the future of humanity may be more advanced than we are, but everyone has to obey the laws of physics.

You do not know of the battle, for you have not seen it.... one must see the film in order to know their story.

Also pretty much what I wrote is my back story, so as to lead into the film.

Since far more is unknown of what lies beyond our space, how do you know what possible life forms not only exist, but do so in ways that defy the logic and physics of human kind? There is no way that any human can know these things for certain.
The film is sci-fi, yes, which means that it is based on part of what is science and what is possible, but at this point is fiction. So what? If one enjoys sci-fi, what is wrong with that?

There are certain things that are always true. 1+1=2 and 1+1=3. But 1+1 will never equal 0.

Even in the future that truth will never come undone, not by any being.

Sci-fi is fine for some. But I can not except what I know not to be true.

Like wise I don't like a lot of CGI in action movies. Things that crash don't accelerate For some reason CGI editors seems dependent on using this falsehood to create high action events.

I love Star Trek too. Beam me up Scotty! And I have a thing for Mr. Spock. Just do not tell him please. ;)

Had you seen this or are you hoping to?

Haven't seen this yet, but it looks ok. If you like action-packed SciFi movies, I HIGHLY recommend you check out a little film called Aliens by James Cameron. Your mind will be blown!

I watched this film on St.Patrick's Day. In my back story that leads into the film, I have incorporated elements that are in those particular clips. Two little girls, a veterinarian that is a woman, and a veterinary hospital that they are in. I am figuring she owns it. There are two other characters actually as well in those clips, but I opted to leave then out, because I felt like it at the time.

I love the Resident Evil movies too. I would like to make changes to these movies though, for I have my ideas, that differ greatly with the script writers.
One of the actors, Michelle Rodriguez, that is in Battle L A, also co-starred in the Original Resident Evil. (2002) Unfortunately, her character in Resident Evil was not as lucky as she was in the battle for L A.

There is a video game too for Battle L A. I do not know at this time though, whether or not it is based upon the movie, or most likely it is the other way around. For when I saw the trailer on t.v. I thought it was advertising for a video game, but it was for the film.

I love Sci Fi.......we are wanting to see this movie for sure. :)
And Star Trek...well I've always loved it but with the new movie that came out...OMG Zachary Quinto as Spock....OMG......LOL

Oh I know! The cast in the prequel Star Trek, are cuties. Especially the actor that portrays my most favorite person, Mr. Spock. (Sigh) I would like to get his autograph for sure. :) I don't have the DVD yet of this movie. But I will be getting it, sooner or later.
This film and the Search For Spock, are my most favorite movies of all of the S T films.
I would love to work behind the scenes on these films, and others as well.

I'm a big sci-fi fan too. Of course, I agree most of it is unbelievable and defies the laws of physics. But I can suspend my disbelief to watch or read a good sci-fi story. :goodvibes The best ever is The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The books- not the stupid movie (although I do like the BBC mini series they did years ago). Absolutely hilarious! :lmao:

Have to say, I haven't heard of Battle LA. I do like the more Utopia futures better than the Distopias.

Pink Budgie,

Click on the link please in my first post. It will enter you into the battle story. And you can also find movies times. It is currently playing in RP. That is where I watched it 6 days after it's release.

I watched the trailer. We rarely see movies in the theater. Pixar is about the only exception. We'll probably see it on Netflix when it comes to DVD.

Oh... we are watching "V" right now. We are a few weeks behind but we like that show. We don't have tv so my parents are recording it for us to watch.

I recently learned from an episode of Fact or Faked (T.V. Series) that the film Battle L A, is actually based upon a true story.
In 1942 between Feb. 24 and the morning of the 25th, at Fort Arthur, Los Angeles, a AAA fire fight enblazed L A's night sky, upon the militarys observation of a UFO. 1,440 rounds from mostly 50 Ml cal. machine guns fired upon this potential enemy attack. In 1983, it was declared by the Office of The Air Force History, that weather balloons were the cause for the alarm. However, based upon the facts and the recreations that were very well done by the Fact or Faked T.V. reporters, it was in all likely hood, a true ET entry into American air space.

You can learn more about it here: Battle L A 1942

So what does everyone think about the real Battle in L A? And the movie too.

Haven't seen the movie, ask me personally again if I had in a year or two.

As far as the real battle. Was it ET? I doubt it. Aliens visiting humans, why? The CIA has been able to observe humans from space very well for a few decades. Why enter the atmosphere? To either engage the ruling species of earth, or destroy it to occupy earth. Not to get a good spot to watch the surf crash into shore.

One is not stating that it was the CIA or any other governmental entity that was responsible for this particular incident. But rather, there is a very good chance that it was an encounter with an E. T. aircraft and/or lifeform (s) Which I have a tendency to believe in that possibility.
