Bathroom details...

OK we are staying at WL when it now has dawned on me that my Dad may need HA bathroom. At home we have installed handrails and a shower chair. Can anyone remember if the regular rooms has handrails in the bathroom? Has anyone had shipped or rented at shower chair during their stay???

i cant remember about hte handrails, but i asked for a shower chair at the front desk of WL last time i was there, and they had one sent to the room within 15 minutes free of charge!

We had a room at OKW with a roll in shower, but the fold down bench was broken. We called and they did provide a portable shower bench within a short time.

Just for clarification - are you staying at Wilderness Lodge or the DVC Villas at Wilderness Lodge?

How do the bathrooms look? Do they have roll in shower? We are going in January and ar looking for the most accessible rooms.

You can get a room with a roll-in shower at any of the resorts, but you have to request this. There are two types of accessible room; one type has a roll-in shower, the other a tub with extra grab rails. If you need the shower, make sure to request an "accessible room with roll-in shower".
