Basic Season pass early entry when staying on site

This is probably a dumb question but want to check before I buy…

The 2 park basic season pass says it does not get early entry. I just want to confirm if staying on site overrides this or not. For instance if I’m staying at Portofino do I still get early entry even if the pass specifically states it does not get early entry. Thanks.

All you do is show a hotel key card for EE, so as long as you have that, that's fine. It's not like disney where everything is tied into an account
