I'm quickly getting drawn into this hobby but I'm unsure where to begin.

I've found a store not too far away where I can get supplies and I've bought an ideas book and a plain 12x12 album.

Now I'm looking at it I don't know where to begin.

3 questions for now (I'm sure I'll have more!)

1. Do I stick my photos etc. directly onto the paper in the sleeves or is this just in there to divide each side of the sheet?

2. Am I meant to use both sides of each sheet?

3. Is printer ink "safe" if I print on acid free paper?

Thanks for your help

1. Okay... I'm a little confused (okay, a lot) by your first question. I don't know what you're trying to ask.

2. Depending on what type album you bought (strap hinge or post bound), the answer will vary. If it's a strap hinge, then yes, you are meant to scrap each side of that page. If it's post bound then, no, you are not meant to scrap each side of say card stock (plain heavy weight paper) or patterned paper.

3. I think there is some debate about this. However, I use my computer for all my journaling. Some will say you need your handwriting in your books. I think it's more important for me to tell the stories behind the picture and I would not do that if I had to use my own handwriting... so it's very much a personal choice.

Welcome to the boards and to scrapping... and good luck.

Oooh... BTW, you might want to check out TwoPeasInABucket.com. They have a "gallery" where you can check out other people's work.

They also have a Disney section.

Libby welcome,

The store that you get your supplies at is it a scrapbook store or just a craft supplie store. Either way ask them if they have a beginners 101 class for scrapbooking. That may help.

Regarding your 1st questions if I'm reading it right NO you don't put your pictures on that piece of paper its a its just to sep. the papers that you've put your own pictures on.

HTH'S and come back if you have any more questions I'm sure someone down the line will give you the answer you are looking for.
