Hi - I just want to be sure I understand this. We will be on the 4 day Wonder 11/30.

When you go to dinner, you are given a menu and you can order whatever you want - right? Once it is served and you do not like it, you can order something different?

Thanks, this is our first Disney cruise - trying to get the details planned.
Linda

Yes, you can order anything you like!!! You can order as much as you like too!! My DH ordered something he did not like and our server was more than happy to get him something else!!! Your server is there to make sure you have a great dinner, and if something is not right they will bend over backward to make it right. I can promise you will have a great dining experience!!:goodvibes

That's absolutely right! In fact, on our last cruise, there were several nights that I decided to try something new. I told Jean (our server) upfront that I wasn't sure I'd like it and asked if I didn't like it, could I get something else. He said that would be fine...but I never needed to order a different dish. :) On several occasions, he even brought out a couple of different appetizers for us to try.

Usually my husband orders 2 appetizers, entree, and sometimes a dessert....but always the two appetizers!! :p

Hope this helps!

Don't forget you can order off the child's menu. I like to get the MM ravioli as an appetizer and my parents like the chicken noodle soup. Of course, the chocolate MM ice cream bars are on there every night!!! ::yes:: :hyper:

LOL! Actually, I agree with the other posters. One of the wonderful things about the cruise is that you can order any and EVERY thing on the menu to try--swap, share with others at your table--and it's all included.

That's why I think it is an excellent opportunity to try things you NEVER would have tried at home. Have fun--and order a molten lava cake in honor of me, would ya?

Hi NCLinda! Have you seen the thread for the 11/30 cruise? If you are interested, they are planning a DIS meet! :D

See you on the cruise!

The children's menu....I knew I forgot something! The chocolate pudding off the children's menu is YUM!! It's a little different than the pudding on the adult menu. My DH really likes it!!

I always asked the server "which appetizer should I get..this one or that one"..they always said they would bring both!

Life is too short, that is why I like to eat the desserts first!

When we were on the Magic last Spring, my wife and I each ordered the Lobster tail on the surf 'n turf night. When the server brought out our meals, I jokingly said that her meal was mine -- the punchline being that we ordered the same thing, so how could the server mix up our meals!!!! Well, apparently the server misunderstood me and, as the assistant server was clearing the plates and silver from our main course, he said that I needed to keep my silver. The server then presented me with a SECOND lobster tail, which I did not request. Wisely, I did not turn him down, but I did make a mental note to make the same joke on our next Magic cruise in July.

Do they serve salmon? I have always wanted to try it. This would be the perfect time, since I can get something new if I don't like it.

I had a wonderful piece of salmon on my cruise.:p

Our 10 yr old dd ate baked salmon at several meals (it was often listed on the "lighter fare" part of the entree menu). She loved it! Even our 5 yr old dd tried food off of the adult menu (one night she ordered the ribs, but with a side of french fries from the kids' menu). The waiters are VERY accomodating - even to the children! We are so proud of our 3 dd's that they tried new foods almost every night (if they didn't like it, our wonderful server, Erasmo, would bring them something else).

That's what I do too!!!!!!!!!!

Salmon, the perfect sea food! So many great ways to prepare it. I don't remember if they had several different recipies or not - but you really can't go wrong.

I think my wife ate salmon almost every night (she had the sea bass one night and the halibut another), since she has very specific dietary needs. She enjoyed every last bite.

cruise last year, I was raving over the lobster tails and the head dining room guy brought me a whole bowful for my birthday. YUM!!!

On the night before after dinner my servers asked if there was anything else we needed and I jokingly said Creme Brule for breakfast, 2 seconds later there was a Creme Brulee to go for me.

They are the best.

The cruise prior my GF and I went and she was on a diet and very close to her goal so she didn't want to blow it. The servers had the chef come out to meet her and talk about what she wanted. She got grilled chickn breast and steamed veggies EVERY night.

Her snack was popcorn before bed and our HEAD dining room guy said that if she gave him the bag he would pop it for her every night .

She lost 2% bodyfat on our cruise, she's a dork but to each their own. Since she made me work out every morning on our trip I ate like a pig and didn't GAIN any weight.

Dieting while on a cruise?!! THat's crazy!!!!

bigsky... I agree, dieting while on a cruise IS crazy! But, unfortunately, I will be trying to stick to my diet "somewhat"... So, if you see an ice cream cone in my hand, I feel certain, it will only be a figment of your imagination... (Just don't tell my WW leader! :duck: )

See you next week!!
