Help. We are going next week. I just did our FP's, but we have hopper passes. If we have FP's for Epcot one morning and then head over to MK in the afternoon, can we get more FPs there? Are there kiosks? I'm just trying to plan our days and it's really annoying to have to figure out in advance what we're going to do. Not our style, but I'm trying to make the best of it.

Right now I have FP's for 5 days, but we plan on hopping most days. So how do I get more FP's once I arrive at park #2?

you can't book FP's at more than one park per day....as of now. it may change in the future.
My advice, if you are getting to the first park at rope drop, book your FPs for the second park - for the afternoon when the lines are longer.

You don't (unfortunately). FP's are one park only for the time being.

Best strategy is to hit Epcot at rope drop, ride everything you can standby, and then use your FP's at the MK in the afternoon/evening.

You need to change your fast passes to the second park and hit the first park at rope drop....that's what we did last week and it worked great.

That's really disappointing. We've redone our FP's 3 times, we've had to cancel rebook reciprocating dinner reservations accordingly, and we still don't have a "plan". This is not my idea of fun, I thought vacation was supposed to be relaxing?

I know there are a lot of threads on FP and I admittedly know nothing, and will give it a fair shot but I'm disappointed. We basically will only be able to ride Soarin once even though we are going to be at Epcot 4-5 times because most days we are going to hop there for F&G (we are staying at BC). So other than the one morning I have committed to Epcot, our only option is to wait 90 minutes!? Also, I guess TT is out as well since I can't book it the same day as Soarin?

Seems overly complicated.

I'm feeling the exact same way as you and we don't typically plan out our days either. I am afraid I will have a disappointed kid who is used to grabbing a FP and doing something else (B rides, game, snack, etc.) while we wait for our FP time. Very occasionally did we wait in a long SB line and we really aren't rope drop people. I'm trying hard to be positive and to cheerily tell my son how we will still have plenty of fun although we will just have to do things differently. Not sure I'm feeling it though...we will see.

I rode Soarin at RD, got a FP for the afternoon and then walked over and ride test track single rider 3 times.,..

We are not rope drop folks either. However, with some effort we used to manage pretty effectively to get a lot done. I have 3 small children, often I'd be pushing one in a stroller to get FP's for another ride while my wife is with the other two. Not easy, per se, but we made the effort. My kids love going back and forth between Big thunder Mt and Splash Mt. I could often alternate FP's and ride it 2-3 times each before it got really busy.

So effectively we'll get less ride time. But the tickets keep going up in price. I know we don't have to go and I'm not complaining, but it just seems like they've overly complicated the process. I guess we shall see. All I really want is nice weather!

But I have 3 kids. Single rider isn't an option. I know it can be done, but I also know that the old way seemed to work. This seems like reinventing the wheel....and making it slightly square.

I would try the kiosk at the second park. Someone posted last week that they were able to get additional fastpasses.

Yes - this was part of a test a couple weeks back. FP in a second park via kiosk only, and only after the time period for the first passes had gone by.

But the testing is changing so quickly that there's no promise that this option is still there.

Unfortunately, this doesn't help with your advance planning.

I just got back from a WDW trip, using FP+ for the first time. Like you, I love to ride Soarin' multiple times, and was worried I wouldn't get my "fix" this trip. My strategy was to ride at rope drop without a FP, and use some of my FPs for Soarin' some of my days, even if I was planning to go to another park in the afternoon. (Most folks will tell you to save your FPs for your afternoon/evening park, but you don't have to do that!)

This will work if you plan to go to Epcot multiple days. Plus, you can always use the single rider line for Test Track (I did, and waited less than five minutes to ride).

One thing I also did was use my traveling companion's Soarin' FP, because she decided she didn't want to ride it a second time. She just gave me her magic band and I rode it an extra time.

Don't worry, it will all work out. I was worried about how FP+ was going to be for us, and it was (pretty much) fine. I still prefer the legacy FP system, by far, but the new program isn't too bad.
