I'm just wondering what the basic Escape package options looks like, what the cake and floral options are etc..

Has anyone done the basic package with no add on at all? Does the Wedding Pavillion look really bare?

I know this must be on here somewhere but I'm having no luck with the search at present. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful! :worship:

I was also wondering how much extra hours of photography are? Or if you can use Disney for one part of the day and a different photographer for another?

Thank you!

Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings' website is a good place to start. The section on Escape weddings/vow renewals includes pictures of all the bouquets:

And here are pictures of all the cake styles:

Yes!

No. :thumbsup2

$175/hour

Yes, but only Disney photographers are allowed inside the theme parks, so if you were doing, say, a dessert party in Epcot, you wouldn't be able to bring your own photographer. And Disney will not let you use the photography included in the Escape package for a dessert party. You'd have to buy a separate photography package for $350.

:worship:You are a true gem!

Thank you for all the information. I wouldn't care I was looking all over that Disney Weddings site and into the Wish Book, I'm clearly rubbish!

I think I really want an outside photographer to do our photos, as long as we do not go into the theme park we can do this am I correct? I presume if you hire a 3rd party then then the Disney photographer would not attend the wedding at all. Hmm..so many decisions! Your photos are beautiful by the way, they always catch my eye when I'm lurking around on here. You looked stunning on your special day, especially loved your necklace reminds me so much of Pocahontas, was that the intent?

How on earth has anyone managed to do the basic package? I must salute them, I seem to just keep adding to everything!

No problem - it's a lot of info to wade through! :thumbsup2

You are correct - you can have a non-Disney photographer anywhere but the parks, and if you go this route, the Disney photographer will not be at your wedding.

Thanks for the kind words about our pictures! I'd never thought of my necklace that way before, but Pocahontas has great style, so I am glad to be associated with her in any way I can! :cutie:

I thought that was your intent with regard to your necklace, either way it looked gorgeous on you.

I feel like I want to upgrade almost everything in the Escape package :( Hmm..is there anywhere I can view some of the Wishes options and prices to see if it may be worth heading down that avenue. I mean if I'm upgrading everything I will probably meet the minimum spend requirement at least.

Sorry for my constant questions, I shall try to stop!

I used the wish book when I started looking at prices, I know they're out of date, but it kinda gave me an idea. We were going to do an escape, but with all the add ons I wanted/needed we met the old 10k wishes min. Then we have the flexibility to invite all our friends and family, and not be limited to 18. It also opened up all sorts of options for ceremony locations.

Ask all the questions you have. Someone else may be thinking it and not want to ask or they may have not thought of it, but may want to know.

Carrie, thank you so much for posting pics of the Escape cakes! I was budgeting for upgrading the cake, but now we don't have to because I love the scroll one! :thumbsup2

I don't think I've ever seen pics of the Modern Deco one before. Interesting.

Wishes weddings are pretty much infinitely customizable - there are no set choices for bouquets, decor, etc. the way there are with Escape weddings. The Wish Book would be a great place to start, but I believe Disney has removed this feature from their site in anticipation of the debut of their new website. (People who already have Wish Books can still access them, you just can't start a new one. :sad2:)

One thing to keep in mind about the minimum spend for Wishes: Taxes and service fees do not count toward it, so that $12,000 minimum balloons by several thousand dollars when you're done.

If I were just starting now, the prospect of having to spend (to my way of thinking) "nearly $15,000" on a Wishes wedding rather than "about $11,000" as it was when we started planning would probably deter me from choosing a Wishes wedding, but I suppose it's all in the way you look at it...

Yes! Someone around here was going to get the Modern Deco cake in a different color combo - I don't know if it ever happened, but I am so curious to see what that would look like!
