BASIC Disney Tips

Under the Heat section:

Take a break in the afternoon. If your child is tired, let them rest in a cool hotel room. Don't force them to have fun. They won't and you won't either.

How often have we heard tired, angry parents yelling at tired, angry kids that this is the happiest place on earth and they better have fun or else.

I think that's a great idea!!!!!

We are going May 20-30. I would love a copy for our band students. We are making travel books for them and that would be a great addition. Do you think you will be finished before then?? :confused3

This is my e-mail if you could send it that way, I would be very grateful!!!!!

We always avoid the EMH park on that particular day. :sunny:

Take a break during the middle part of the day, hang by the pool, nap, enjoy a long lunch, then head back about 4 or so. :flower:

Never, ever wear new shoes even tennis shoes-cause once your feet hurt you'll be miserable. :)

Try to eat during off peak hours, much more relaxing. :earsboy:

This is huge, I think. I always like to think that if I am doing the park while most people are eating, it can't hurt. Try to stretch it to 2:30 or 3:00 for lunch if you can, whether that means eating a stand item around 11:30 or whatever.

It's like the old baseball saying: "Hit it where they ain't." If you can "be where they ain't" you're likely to have a better time.

The resort monorail is always less crowded than the express monorail. Yes, you'll make more stops, but odds are you'll be sitting in the air-conditioned car for them, instead of waiting in a mob to get on the other train.

The train at the front gate to MK will take you straight back to two of the Mts and save you about 4/10ths of a mile of walking.

If you can live without carrying a bag/purse/fannypack with you, you'll save yourself some time getting past the bag check at the gates.

Lunch menu hours run pretty late. If you can eat dinner before normal dinner hours, you'll save money and miss the crowds.
