If you had your choice on any of the sailings being offered and I'm looking for the best deal for the money, what would you recommend?

Since the new dates were opened up today

Just curious what others are thinking for example wow that's an amazing deal type feeling

Generally the Transatlantics are a good deal, as they're 1 way and trying to fill the ship up to reposition it from one place to another. Sometimes Panama Canal can be, but those have become more popular. I'd look at $/nt/person to see what the best deals are. Avoiding holiday times, etc. will also keep costs down. If you can travel anytime, it's easier--just look at what cruises cost less for similar length cruises.

The Jan 21 7 night from San Juan is a "good deal" in terms of 7 nighters

I think it depends what you are looking at. I was considering the Bermuda 5 day & Fantasy Western Caribbean cruises for the same time period. For Bermuda, I wouldn't have to pay for airfare which is a plus. I decided on the Fantasy instead because I can spend the same amount including airfare and be on a 7 night cruise.

These days I reserve that feeling for the *GT offerings and Florida resident rates... which I don't qualify for but I *know* how cheap rates can get. In this batch none have made me feel 'wow'. I think at least some of that is due to so many of these cruises being 'holiday' ones which command a premium, as do the 'special' cruises out of new york and such. The ones out of San Diego on the wonder are priced lower but for a lot of people on these boards it requires a spendy flight to get there (for me its much cheaper since I am on the west coast to start with). The Vancouver to San Diego repo is VERY cheap but logistically complicated and only has one port stop (I'd still do it in a heartbeat if I had the vacation time - it sails Tues-Sat).

From the moment you sail on DCL, you have to know that you are paying hundreds/thousands of dollars in premium compared to other cruise lines. So I wouldn't call any of those cruises a "good deal" but some rates and itineraries are a better value than others.

In my opinion, the best value on DCL is a 4 nights cruise because the rate is barely higher than a 3 nights cruise.

On 3-4 nights cruises, you get pretty much the same options as a longer cruise (3 dining rooms, 3 shows and ship pretty similar to Fantasy if you pick the Dream, with a few exceptions pretty much the same activities). I know some people think you are more rushed but I disagree, mostly because I usually stay on the ship in Nassau, giving us more time to enjoy the ship.

I was wondering the same thing. Anyone know of a site that you can filter the results to tell you the cheapest per night?
