Baseball Spring training tickets....

according to ticketmaster, go on sale on Jan. 7th. We plan to attend one of the games in March while we are down for spring break. Just thought I'd post, since there have been several previous posts about spring training games at WDW. Do any of you think that DVC will have a reception again this year for members?

Hi Erin,

About two weeks ago, I e-mailed MS about the baseball reception and asked if they would be hosting a DVC event this year. The response was that as of then, nothing was planned. That doesn't mean they will not come up with something soon.

We will be there in March and I was looking forward to this. We will be trying to get tickets when they go on sale on Jan. 7.

The World Baseball Classic (or whatever it is they are calling it) is playing some games at Crackerjack Stadium in early March. I think this delayed the Braves announcing the schedule and may have kept DVC from being able to plan anything. Maybe they'll come through with something -- it'd be nice if it were during my stay!

How much are the game tickets usually? We will be coming into Orlando the last spring training game (3/29). Is the last game of the season usually pretty full? Are there other teams that train there besides the Braves?

We were thinking of the world classic because it is going on while we are there, and Venezuela is one of the countries playing at WDW (gotta cheer one Johan Santana!). Unfortunately, you had to buy a strip for ALL the games, so we decided we didn't want to take that much time out of our WDW time. We are going to Fort Myers for Twins spring training a few days before we hit WDW.

Ticketmaster will be selling these tickets. Prices range from $13-21. Im not sure how crowded that game will be. I will suggest from prior experience that you should purchase your tickets the day they go on sale. Some games will sell quickly.
