Barefoot on Kali or Splash?

no. keep your feet off the floor and you will be ok. on kali, stick your feet right under the middle thing and your shoes wont get wet.

No, they will not. For safety reasons, shoes must be worn at all times. (You could step on something on the ride itself, getting out of the ride, etc)

I wouldn't worry too much about your feet getting wet on Splash Mountain. Kali River Rapids is a different story. There is a bar a few inches off the ground that circles the center "pod" where you place items you don't want to get wet. If you keep your feet on that bar, there is a good chance they will not get AS wet. Or perhaps you could wear shoes like Crocs that you wouldn't have to worry about getting wet.

I know that you can't take your shoes off on Splash but we have been able to take them off on Kali River Rapids and put them in the bin in the center of the raft which has a cover. Haven't been there since May so maybe they changed their rules.

There is a big sign in the queue at Kali stating that all riders must wear shoes. Saw it last week. HTH.

On a visit a couple of years ago, I had gotten my feet wet during a rain storm, and ended up with blisters because of this. I was going to take my shoes off before I got on Kali, but the CM told me I had to keep them on. I told the others in my party to go on without me, 'cause no way was I going to have wet feet and more blisters, and the CM told me (very discreetly) just to take them off and stash them in the middle once I was on the raft.

Unfortunately shoes must be worn on both due to safety.

My feet have gotten soaked on both. We usually saved these rides til last, and changed to flip flops so we wouldn't get our sneakers soaked.

Once you're seated and belted on Kali River Rapids, yes, you can take off your shoes and stash them in the center storage bins - just be sure to have them back on before you stand up to exit the raft.

I was told to put my shoes in the center bin on Kali. But it's been 7 years since I rode it so maybe that has changed now. I hate walking around wet so we brought poncho's just for that ride. I am so glad we wore them because we would have gotten drenched!

Your feet WILL get wet on Kali wether they are on the little bar or not. We always take cheap flip flops on our AK day and throw them in the backpack. We make a quick change into the flip flops before we get in line for the ride and change back into our tennis shoes after. We have always left our tennis shoes in the bottom of the stroller while we ride.

You have plenty of time to take your shoes off and put them back on while on Kali. I always do that and havent had a problem with it. Usually there will be a line of rafts at Kali at the end so thats when I put my shoes back on.
