Bare Minerals???

I just got my first shipment in the mail today!! I looked thru their catalog and am going to place an order for a few other things like eye shadows and lipstick. I see that they have a kit that is called "wearable nude" and it has been designed to be worn by anyone. Has anyone tried this one out and can tell me their thoughts on it? How true are the lip colors to what they show online or in the catalog?

Welcome to the addiction! I love bare minerals! I have the wearable mauve lip kit and I really like it. I haven't tried the wearable nude but it looks very pretty IRL. If you order it (or anything) from QVC you can return it in 30 days if you don't like it, money back. They sell a full line of Bare Escentuals.

Some of my favorites are:

All over face color - True
Blush - Fruit Cocktail (looks VERY bright in the container, but it is beautiful on)
Eye Shadow - Soul (a creamy off white), Queen tiffany (beautiful shimmery bronze)

There are some great color kits to help you get started. I know QVC has a blush and 2 eyeshadow kit that is about $30.

There is a Bare Escentuals message board. Google be addicts. I think Christa (BE maven) posts on the DIS too so she may be able to direct you.

Bare Minerals is great stuff. Lots of pretty shades and options. I use fair light and medium foundation. They advertise the medium as something that almost everyone can wear, but sometimes that can go on too dark, even with the lightest application. I find alternating between them works well for me. I like using the clear radiance face color as a lip color also. Sometimes I use a darker lip liner to change the color. I love the eye shadows! Enjoy!

I bought my first BE starter kit a few weeks ago. I am almost finished with my liquid foundation bottle and then I will start using my BE. I can't wait. I have watched the ad segments on the TV. I have read the book and watched part of the DVD. I am looking forward to trying it all.

Ulta stores carry all of the BE products also.

I love BE in general--I just got the new rare minerals stuff in the mail yesterday.

I have the wearable nudes kit. I love the lipliner and the gloss, but for me, the actual lipstick comes off as too pink. Dsis says it looks like bubblegum! So I use the liner and the gloss, but a different lipstick.

Those Sephora ladies really know their stuff. I would have been lost without them. If you don't have a Sephora near you, I'd recommend going to Ulta or a BE store. I think some dept. stores also carry BE.
