We will be cruising out of Barcelona next month, our first time to Europe. Does anyone have any tips on navigating the airport on arrival? We will have Barcelona Day tours picking us up.

Barcelona Day Tours is great from the reviews I have read. I am in the process of booking them for a trip to Montserrate from Barcelona (we are doing a land trip to Barcelona).

Last year when I landed in Barcelona I just followed the signs to passport control and then to baggage claim. I had DCL transfers so they met me by baggage claim. I am sure someone can help you if you get lost in the airport.

We were in Barcelona last Sept. for a Med./WBTA B2B. As mmouse37 said, just follow the signs. We also had DCL transfers which made it very easy and had a private car with DCL rep with us (wife & me) to hotel. Warning, the pickpockets are everywhere in that city, so be careful. Also, you have to see the Gaudi stuff...park, buildings and, of course, the cathedral. You need reservations for almost all of these attractions. Your hotel staff can help you get set up if you haven't already booked from home. Hope you have a couple of days planned to site-see and eat. Love the place!!

Are you also flying out of Barcelona?
FYI regardless of the multiple signs warning you just a reminder that there is barely anything past Passport control. This includes seating.

Awesome cruise! Weather was mostly good. Special activities, adult scavenger hunts (photos of uniforms, rugs, chairs...a hoot), presentations, tours backstage. I felt like our granddaughter on an earlier cruise...can I really hide on one of the lifeboats when it ends??

Barcelona airport is relatively small so is easy to get around. As said not much there after passport control and very well signposted in my opinion. You should easily find your way through

We're on this years WBTA and I couldn't find anything about the tours backstage in last years navigator, how do you know when they are (or what are they called?)?

The year before last (2015) I asked at guest services and they booked me on. They were not well advertised at all.

We've flown into Barcelona for two WBTAs, and always catch the Aerobus to Plaça de Catalunya. It was cheap, convenient, clean, and fast. There's video on YouTube showing how to get to the platform to catch the bus. http://www.aerobusbcn.com/en/discover-aerobus
The drop-off point at Plaça de Catalunya is right by El Corte Ingles, the huge department store with a full grocery store in the basement (which includes a full aisle of wines).

Even though I am sure the mouse has it planned, these events sometimes seem extemporaneous. However, I believe we saw the tour as an activity in the Navigator a day or two before. Reservations were needed and the tours were lead by actors/actresses who are in the evening shows...super cool!! Often these same folks staff the lifeboat/safety drills, so keep them in mind when you meet them the first day. Our drill guy on the Magic was the thug in Tangled with the hook who played the piano (I have a dream). Met him several times during the cruise and he was a real hoot.
We hope to do another WBTA (EBTA loses time, WBTA gains...extra fun) in the near future. We, too, have a dream.
