Okay, since my "black light" thread was such a popular one, I am happy to report that both the MCO Marriott and stateroom 5650 get "Barb's Sanitary Seal of Approval." :D
I will have full details in my trip report, as well as all the other details from cruise #31, but here are some quick observations:
-Boat rentals and banana boat are definitely gone from Serenity Bay.
-Hercules was moved to the second night, with a Welcome Aboard show featuring Gary Delaney on the first night.
-80s Night was the first night, too, so it featured the main stage dancers. 70s night was moved to the last night.
-They are still showing the main stage shows on t.v. throughout the evening. I was so glad to see that continued!
-Our Castaway Cay good weather streak has been restored. It was postcard perfect weather!
-Huge kid population on board, and a full ship. The crowd was somewhat more noticeable because the shops in Nassau were closed for Good Friday, which means more people were on board. But that didn't impact our enjoyment at all...as a matter of fact, I think part of my trip report will focus on maximizing your cruise even when the ship is full. Believe it or not, we even stayed on the family beach! (Tony biked over the Serenity Bay briefly.)
-We noticed at Guest Services that there were Easter baskets you could buy...a neat idea if you had kids on board.
-Disembarkation is back to nice, easy, and painless.
There will be LOTS more details in my trip report.

Welcome back! :) So glad to hear the ship passed the dreaded black light test. ;)

Look forward to reading your full report! :sunny:

Gr8 to hear about the Black Light test! Whew!!! Can't wait to read your trip report!

Sooo relieved the rooms passed the "black light test" and can't wait to read all about the trip in detail :)

Thanks Barb! Welcome back!

Just loved your title, Barb's black light special, with the smiley with the shades on! I almost hesitated to click on it though... But I took a breath, squinted through one eye... and clicked. Glad it was good news! Maybe you could indicate this on your title, to reasure the squeamish.

I just checked out your Navigators too, and can't wait for your trip report.

Thanks again! Your info and input is priceless!!!

Hey Barb,

less than 5 weeks and counting...

Can't wait to meet you on the Magic!!

Can't wait to read trip report #31. I've already checked your site twice (no pressure!).

Thanks in advance!

Trip report #31 is started and will definitely be posted by the weekend, if not before.
Now that we're back, I'm already watching anxiously every day for the docs. for our 5/24 cruise to arrive (I SWEAR I'm not addicted to cruising...I can stop any time I want...REALLY!!!).

LOL Barb - do the crew all know you by first name now ;)

BTW I think you're indenial ;) ;) ;) but why stop when you don't have too :teeth:

Barb, I think that most of us are just jealous that we can't cruise as often as you do. We will be leaving the ship when you are coming on. Wish we would have been on the same cruise.

Tell me your secret, I still have the weight I gained from last years cruise on me, and that's after 10 months. I wouldn't be able to do that many without going up 1 size per cruise.

Can't wait for your next report.

My daughter is always saying if there is a next life that she wants to be Barbie-great cars, fabulous clothes, perfect guy, every occupation. I, on the other hand, want to be Barb! I am not going to last until June. :D

LOL, Disneymom!
My brother is less ambitious...he always tells me that he wants to be reincarnated as one of my cats. :jester:

We're on the June 28th eastern. Also coming are Drummincoop, Samsma, Stewblue, and Callahanjulie. I hope I spelled them correctly! And you are on which?

We're on the June 21st Western. TON of people from the boards on that one. We'll leave her in great shape for you!

Deb

We're trying the western July 3 2004-hopefully many Dis'ers including yourself on that trip. Do you hear that Barb, Tony, Buckaroo's Dad etc.... :p :p :p

That sounds great, although it is doubtful that we will be cruising again in 2004. DS will be in the summer between his soph & junior year in HS at that time - already talking about a trip to Colorado to check out a school he is interested in among other stops. Which would be our family trip. Also that week he will be out in Arizona at the Philmont Scout Ranch - and NO WAY would we get away with cruising without him!

And when you factor in all of the other commitments our kids have over the summer finding one 10 day stretch is pretty tough, let alone a couple!

Deb

Glad you went on that cruise Barb.....we're taking the 4 day Wonder in July.....I can't wait to read your write up on the trip. I'm really excited and we are counting down the days to our trip.
