I'm helping a friend plan her first trip to Disney. Her 5yr old wants to do the Pirates League, but so does her 2yr old. Since the 2yr old is too young for the pirates league, I suggested the barber shop. Do they still do temporary dye in hair and gel it up in funky styles for kids? Do you need to get an actual hair cut or can you just request something fun for the 2yr old?

They do still do the cool gel/sparkles for the kiddos. My son loved it there (was 3). Not sure if you also need the haircut. For the cut its $15, gel is $5. Very reasonable alternative for a fun extra.

To make her life easier suggest a reservation. We did a walk in and it was a 20-25 min wait. Not bad because the parade was going on and gave him something to watch while waiting.

Do you just call the main Disney number for a reservation? My son is 10-would he be too old to get a cut here?

Your never to old for the barber shop. I got my hair cut there last year and plan on getting it cut the after my wedding. I don't know what number you call. I just walk in.

There is no age limit there - even adults get haircuts there. But I think they have stopped doing the colored gel. Maybe someone who has been recently can chime in with the answer.
