Barber shop for girls?

I'm dying to see some more pictures! Exactly where is the barber shop? People are saying it takes a long time- about how long did you have to wait? I was thinking about taking my DD to the Bibbity Boppity Boutique, but this sounds really cute! (and cheap! ;) )

Go thru the gates to the rotary (?) and bear to the left around the rotary as you head towards Main Street. There are some shops and a little horse barn type building/ It is tucked in there. We waited about 45 minutes, and we arrived at about 10AM. We are a pokey group.

I have some pictures set aside to share, but I admit that I am having trouble posting them. If anyone can send directions, I would appreciate it.

I suppose this board could really use a bump *nodds at date of last post*

Any answers to my earlier question or more adorable pics would be appreciated! :Pinkbounc

Here is my son's pics. We just got back and he had his hair done on Tuesday, We got there at around 11am and waited about 45 minutes.

Whoever wanted to know how to post pics, go to Photobucket and upload your pics. After they are uploaded, there will be three URLs under the pic. Highlight and copy the last URL(the IMG one) and paste it in your message.

After finishing, she was "presented" to the rest of the customers and everyone cheered and made a fuss - DD was so proud! It was definately worth the $$ and was comparable in cost for a haircut in our home town.

For us it's cheaper than a haircut at home!

I just wanted to bump this thread to see if anybody had pics of their little girl's princess hairstyle. I'm thinking about taking my neice before our lunch at CRT.

Has anyone taken little girls to the Barber Shop at MK? I just want my DD5's hair "done" for the day, what cute things do they do? Anyone with pictures?

;) :thumbsup2 Rachel's first haircut was at WDW Barber Shop! It was a wonderful experience. She got a certificate, and ears with "first haircut" embroidered on them. The barbers were wonderful with her. The haircut was adorable. We get all:rotfl: her haircuts there now.

DD would like to have all her haircuts at the Barber Shop too - but it's just too expensive for us - considering we'd have to fly in from Scotland!:rotfl: :lmao:

But seriously, it was a lovely experience and well worth the money (about $15 back in October 2004). ;)

I do count my blessings:cloud9: - we get to go to WDW 4 times a year, since we are FL residents and it is just 6 hours away by car/van to the most magical place on earth. :woohoo: Funny thing is, I always wanted to leave Florida (as a child, and also as a young adult) and I am so grateful to my hubby for wanting to stay where he was born and raised. :cheer2: This is HOME and home is where I belong. :grouphug:

Rachel :bride: always looks so cute when she is finished at the barber shop. Her sisters :cheer2: princess: always ask for pixie dust in their hair (a free service of the barbers - you just go in and ask for it, even if they are in the middle of doing someone's hair) :goodvibes

We took Julie for her first hair cut last September. It was awesome.

I think in August when we go back, I'll def have to have her second haircut done. We're getting a little shaggy now, but ... I think she can wait. The $15 pricetag is cheaper than most of the "kid" salons around here, PLUS she got the mickey ears, a certificate and all her hair. If you're going for a first haircut, Michael was AWESOME with her. She didnt have a clue he was cutting her hair. My sister is nine, and the other lady in the shop squirted her hair down and threw confetti in her hair.

We went right after opening, around 9:15, we didn't realize it was a EMH that day. However, we had to wait for the barber shop to open. Needless to say, we were the first ones in. As we were leaving, there were about three-four families already lined up.

Wow, this sounds like fun! I don't love the BBB idea for my girls yet (they're young) but we might try the Barber shop!

When I saw this thread I started to wonder whether the Barber Shop will still be doing the fun girls hairdos now that BBB is in MK?

My dd had her first haircut there in April. I was a great experience. She didn't even realize her hair was being cut. My oldest got her hair done at BBB so I wanted to do something special for the little one too.

Attempting to post some pictures.

Wow, this looks like so much fun!!

I was just curious as to whether they still do the girl hair styles without the cut at the Barber Shop?

We're going in November and I was looking for an alternative to BBB to spend my money on. Yeah, I was thinking about doing the BBB for myself (14 when we go).

Also, is it easy to get the color out? I'll be going back to school the day after we get back and it will need to be washed out by then.

Thanks for sharing the pictures!!

I would think so - the Barber Shop do haircuts where BBB are more for pampering - hairdo's, make-up, etc.;)
