Has anyone taken little girls to the Barber Shop at MK? I just want my DD5's hair "done" for the day, what cute things do they do? Anyone with pictures?

My DD's love this!!!

The barbers are wonderful...they usually french braid their hair, put some fun hair gel on the top (it takes about 30 minutes to really dry...so be careful), and then put on some "pixie dust" (mickey head shaped confetti).

We always make at least one stop to the barber shop. My tip is to make it your first stop of the day as it is first come first served and there can be quite a wait later in the day.

Have fun! :wizard:

We took our dd there for her first haircut last December. They do boys and girls of all ages. There are only 2 barbers/chairs so the line can get long. After her cut, the lady put it up in a princess style and put mickey glitter things in her hair. (little mickey head shaped metallic pieces) It was very cute. I believe you can do the style without doing the haircut too.

We are going back in May and plan to go by there to get it styled.

We did this last month and my neice had her hair put in a "Cinderella-Bun" with pink streaks and micky confetti (pixie dust). The cost was $5, the rest of the kids just got confetti and colored gel, same price. My littlest neice just got sprinkled with dust and there was no charge. FYI, it took a really long time to get this done. There were only 3 kids ahead of us, so I thought it would be quick, but they were getting hair cuts, and they really talke care with the cuts, and a long time!

My dd3 has never had her hair cut anywhere else. My dh, mom, girlfriend and I have also had our hair cut there over the years.

Planning our trip for Jan. Does anyone have pictures? This sounds like something fun to do, but would love to get an idea of what they do based on pics. Might be a good replacement for BB Salon.

The idea for hair fixed like cinderella and pink streaks for 5.00 was right up my alley!!! Although my DD loves Snow White :goodvibes

Took both my kids there last summer. DS had a haircut with colored gel and mickey pixie dust. DD had a trim with her hair in a bun colored gel and mickey pixie dust. They both loved it!

Yes--I even had my daughters hair just styled (not cut). Unfortunately, I was charged teh same amount as a cut. I say unfortunately b/c I wasn't expecting it to be that high as they really didn't do much to her hair (unlike a cut).

However--next time...I might as well get a trim for her--and then make a suggestion on a style if they are going to charge me the full rate anyway.

I wonder if the $5 pricing came later. :(

I forgot to add that DD had one of those hair wraps in at the time of her "do" and the stylist had no problem keeping it in.

My DD4 had her hair done in January for $5. Her hair is not very long and Maura put it up and pixie dusted her- it was adorable and stayed all day. She was wearing her Minnie Mouse dress, so she put 2 buns on the top of her head and used red glitter. I tried to add a picture, but I guess I don't know how.

DW has had her hair done there before. She was pleased with it but opted out of getting it colored afterwards.

I'll have to see if I can locate my pics. DD had her hair done there. She has brown hair, they fixed it like Tinkerbell and sprayed it yellow with lots of glitter. The only problem, she has very fine hair and they teased it. I had to let her sleep in conditioner so I could get her hair combed out. It was very cute but I would not let them tease it again. She loved it!!!

DS always gets his hair cut and DD gets sprinkled with pixie dust. You can also pay a couple of dollars and get the Mickey "tatoo". It's a fun thing to do, but as mentioned it...can be a really long wait.

Of course, I can't find a pic of my neice's doo, but here is the rest of the gang. The boys got Mickey head's painted on the back of their heads...also not pictured. Oh well, it will give you an idea. By the way, we never saw anyone else with their hair colored, we were the only ones.

Fun Fun! I think I'll have this done for my little cousin (8 years, like my little sis) and maybe even myself. I just cannot resist something so fun for DW! So can you ask for what you want (Tinkerbelle, Minnie, ect)? Or do they choose for you? :mickeyjum

We took DD for her first haircut - it cost $15 but that included mouse-ears, a certificate, and pixie dust. Billie also gave us locks of her hair all carefully wrapped in tissue! :teeth:

After finishing, she was "presented" to the rest of the customers and everyone cheered and made a fuss - DD was so proud! It was definately worth the $$ and was comparable in cost for a haircut in our home town.

When we visit later this year, we'll be going back so DD can get a "do" - it's a steal at $5! :thumbsup2

My DD took her 4 year old Princess in January. She was dressed in her Cinderella gown, and totally caught up in the magic of Pixie Dust and blue streaks in her hair. The cost was just $5. This was DGD first visit, and she was going to have lunch with her Princess "friends" so this was the beginning of a magical day for her. DD took like 50 Pics, but I don't know how to post. I will ask SIL to help.
