Can anyone tell me if there's a bar at 50's Prime Time that you can just go in and have a drink at? My fuzzy memory tells me that there is, but I'm not sure...we want to just stop in for a drink on our May trip, not have a full meal there. Thanks!!

yes there is. On our last trip i stopped in for a drink to go. I love their electric lemonades!

Can you get munchies with your drinks, like the onion rings or other apps?

It is the Tune in Lounge. It is decorated like a living room in the 1950's - pretty cool. It is not very big and it does get crowded with diners waiting for their tables.
Yes you can get food to eat at the bar as well.
Have Fun!

Thanx! That's good to know. Alot of times, we just want a nice drink & snack instead of a big meal.

This is my favorite plade at DHS. Grab a drink (or 2) and apps for lite lunch. but please, keep this quiet. Most people don't think of this bar so the less attention the better.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2;)

We were there last February and the lounge was absolutely mobbed at 1pm in the middle of the week. It was so packed in the waiting area and around the bar that there was no way to get a relaxing drink. Maybe if you go in between meal times (maybe 3ish) then you could find a few seats at the bar.

I was thinking of doing the same thing! I just cancelled my dining plan and I am thinking of hitting the bars instead and getting drinks and snacks instead!

Since there is no good food at DHS this seems perfect. But I agree I have waited for normal ressies here many times when it was crowded in the lounge- we will have to go off times.

Also looking into Rose and Crown Pub and Yak and Yeti in AK for just drinks and apps at the bars.

Yeah, we were there in early/mid September on a weekday around 6pm and it was PACKED! We had to wait a good half hour before we could grab a seat at the bar. And the whole time it was VERY loud and VERY chaotic. If you're going to go, I would definitely recommend avoiding meal times!!!
