I don't know if these are still a hot ticket item or not but I noticed they have the Avatar Banshees on the Disney Store website this morning if any one is interested ($85 with perch).

I already have a banshee that I bought on a Pandora visit. I really had a hard time just picking one because the colors were so fantastic, and my husband didn't get one because we were running out of room in our suitcase. He wanted to buy one online, and was a bit disappointed when I told him later, "You can't, except for Ebay at ridiculous prices."

The fact that it comes with a base is even better! I bought a base for my banshee and I really like it--the bottom of the base is hollow with grooves and tabs to hold the banshee's controller cord underneath it, and there is a spot to clip the hand controller on the back of the base. It makes for a nice display and really neatens things up (and it keeps my banshee safe from my cat that is obsessed with chewing cords).

It does however, look like the color selection of banshees is really limited. EDIT: Maybe not. It says you get "one of two color variants" when you order one, you can't pick which variant you get.

I think we paid $59 in Pandora but it didn't come with the base. You had to purchase that separately. I believe they were about $25 extra. So the online price looks about right.

That YouTube video online of the gift shop is beginning to worry me. Marie will be 8 on our next trip and I see us being stuck for an hour or more while she decides which colors are best (plus she is looking at some doll you get made with your face). Sigh

If you are talking about the customizable Navi action figure, prepare to be disappointed. We wanted to buy some of these, but they end up looking NOTHING like the people they are made from. They digitally scan your face, and you are supposed to get a customized Navi that resembles you, my husband and I wanted to each get one, but when we saw people in store who had actually had their faces scanned and bought one, they might have just been handed a random action figure from some stock room hidden in the back as the facial features did not match at all. The figures were about $80 a piece too, additional outfits were $20ish, we didn't want to gamble on getting something completely random. It also takes awhile to make, you have to make an appointment to have your face scanned, and then wait an hour or two after that for your figure to be made.

Thank you for the warning. We won't be getting a doll, I have to draw the line somewhere because I am sending her to Universal for one day (Hogwarts) and by my count her needs there top $400 which is a lot of her money. Much appreciated
