Any Med cruisers that will be in the Orlando Area April 28Th are still welcome to join us.

I am still looking for a suitable banner material. It has been suggested that bigger is better so something in the 3 foot by 12-15 foot range is the target. Also appropriate paints and brushes are a question mark for me. Anyone with experiences making a banner, don't hesitate to speak up.

If you are on the guest list check out the first post in this thread. If you see a gap in the munchies you'd like to fill let me know...

PS: Exciting development ... Misseulalie suggested we find someone to photograph the ship as we sail past Jetty Park and apparently such a person has been found so the banner will be a focal point... no pressure mind you.....

Maybe that paper I found at Joann's. 2 feet by 22 feet. We could tape the two ends together and have 44 feet!

Yikes thats a lot of painting? 44 feet is 1/20 of the length of the boat??? I wonder if it would survive the wind. As I recall the last cruise it blew rather strong during the sail away?

I wonder if you can paint tyvek house wrap? That might be strong enough and I have a 3 foot wide roll.

Welcome to Curt, Pauline Katie our newest party guests.

After some trial and error we have decided on Tyvec House Wrap for the Banner material. It is light, strong and available. The roll I have is 3 foot wide.

If people want to bring any extra brushes they have that would be great.
