Banned For Saying "hes My Friend"

i got banned for saying "hes my friend" because i was in a room and my friend was a guest. so then my other friend says "in real" and i said "no" and then it pops up saying youve been banned for 24 hours for giving away personal information.

and to top it all off i was waiting for my friend to trade me a mansion clock for my 1* inferno

any other rants about being banned for a bad reason.. post it here..

so yea im a bit frustrated right now..

Wow..I feel so bad for you that's just so wrong.

I think that VMK sometimes do a "good" job on keeping vmk safe but this is just dumb! Sometimes they band for ridiculous reasons like this and for important reasons the majority of time they do nothing

I would prefer if they send a message stading WHY the exact reason you got banned you did not say anything wrong,I've seen ppl say that alot ot times and they have not been banned how can this be wrong saying that person if your friend in real

I know I'm over reacting but many kids play this and not all are capable to see what they say is wrong even us adults accidently say things that we didn't even know was wrong..!

Again I feel sad for you but look on the bright side it's just 24h I bet your friend will wait for you to do that trade to

While I understand you are upset that you got banned but you answered the question about if that friend was your real life friend and that was giving personal informantion. Of course the person that asked you that should be banned as well IMO. Shouldn't matter if the person in the room that is your friend is your RL or in game only friend. So I can see why they did this. Now it would be nice to know if those that give out more then something so simple get a ban like this as well. Anyway, at least it is only 24 hrs and I would suggest that if someone asks anything like this in the future or that could be considered possible personal information to just not answer and ignore.

Sorry this happened to you. Think back to the EXACT conversation that took place. Are you absolutely certain there was nothing else you said. I have said many times that I am someone's friend "in real."

My guess is there was something else that was said. Clearly, I dont know as I was not there.

If you honestly did not say anything else at all, I would write to vmk. It will not be an easy process, but you want it removed from your record is you truly said nothing wrong.

Another thing that is so wrong about these ban's is that more than one family member plays VMK so not only is the person who may have oops without meaning to banned[as in this case] But everyone else in the family is ban as well!! Yes I am ban and I was not even on because they ban the computer ID not just the player. VMK needs to address this issue.

I was in the room when Webdude instantly left the game. Only to find out later, he was banned. A few friends were talking in a room and a guest entered. The conversation went pretty much as he stated earlier in this thread but I believe the ban is in place bc he stated that he talked over internet message with someone in the game. He also stated he was not going to say anything else about this. I have been pretty much trying to remember how our conversation went since learning of my friend's ban. This may be the reason for it.
Well, my friend, I am glad it is only for 24 hours. I would contact VMK to see if you can get an exact reason for the ban still or to get it removed from record if given in error.

The ban might not relate to the exact conversation that was going on at the time -- it could be from an earlier time. Best to write to Contact Us and find out the details.

Yep, I have introduced my brother to many of my friends in VMK too without a problem.

This is called an IP Ban where they block your house computer IP Address from logging in...there is a thread around here somewere about changing your IP address so other members of your family can play.
I believe if you just unplug and turn off your Cable or DSL modem for like 5 minutes it wll assign a new one automaticly

i do not recall saying im talking to him over an internet messanger i dont really know who he is he added me a few hours earlier and if i did say i was talking to him over an internet messagenger i probably meant VMK for the fact that i dont know him any further then the vmk game itself.

i will try to get a reason for the ban because i really think this is an unfair ban.

also thats all i could think of that can get me banned. but its only a 24 hour ban not like the month one i had a while back which i still dont have a reason for other then breaking vmk values [no reason beside that was stated].

and if the items from yesterday were a one day thing can somebody spare a few it would be highly appreciated. thx - webdudewebdude

If you have had previous bans, you absolutely want to find out if this was warranted. After a certain amount of bans, you can get a permanent ban. You also may want to be extra careful about what you say in vmk if you are getting repeated bans.
